In The Name Of The Lord

psalmshymnsspiritualsongskjv

Crowds have lined the narrow street
To see this Man from Galilee
Just a carpenter some say leading fools astray
Yet many kneel to give Him praise

And in His eyes they glimpse the power
That sees the heart of all men
And He knows His Father’s mind
And He speaks His Father’s words
For He comes in the Name of the Lord

There Is Strength In The Name Of The Lord
There Is Power In The Name Of The Lord
There Is Hope In The Name Of The Lord
Blessed Is He Who Comes In The Name Of The Lord
In The Name Of The Lord

And when my plans have fallen through
And when my strength is nearly gone
When there’s nothing left to do but just depend on You
And the power of Your Name

And when we call upon Your Name
Your Strength through weakness to show
We can know the Master’s plan, extend the Master’s Hand
When we come in the Name Of The Lord

His Name will be worshipped forever
Creator, Redeemer, and King

It was the Passover, and the Jewish people were gathered in Jerusalem to celebrate.  Then Jesus entered the city riding on a donkey, fulfilling the prophecy of their coming king (Zechariah 9:9).  No wonder they shouted “Hosanna!”  We find this important event recorded in all four of the Gospels: Matthew 21:4-9, Mark 11:7-10, Luke 19:35-38, and John 12:12-15.

The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!”
John 12:12-13

We, the Church, celebrate this event as Palm Sunday.  During this Easter season we are reminded over and over that Christ came, died, and was resurrected for our salvation and eternal life.

Most of us reading this today have chosen to welcome Christ’s coming into our hearts and lives.

Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:8-9

Rejoice greatly…Behold, your King is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is He…
Zechariah 9:9

If you haven’t welcomed Jesus Christ into your life yet, if your “plans have fallen through, and your strength is nearly gone,” today is the day to reach out and take “the Master’s Hand” and allow Christ to fulfill His “Master’s Plan” in your life. Then you, too, will sing, “There is hope in the Name of the Lord.  Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of the Lord!”

Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord!
We bless You from the house of the Lord. The Lord is God,
and He has made His light to shine upon us.
Bind the festal sacrifice with cords,
up to the horns of the altar!
You are my God, and I will give thanks to You;
You are my God; I will extol You. Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
for His steadfast love endures forever!
Psalms 118:26-29

AMEN!

Jesus, Messiah

psalmshymnsspiritualsongskjv

He became sin, who knew no sin
That we might become His righteousness
He humbled Himself and carried the Cross
Love so amazing, love so amazing

Jesus Messiah, name above all names
Blessed Redeemer, Emmanuel
The Rescue for sinners, the Ransom from Heaven
Jesus Messiah, Lord of all

His Body the bread, His Blood the wine
Broken and poured out all for love
The whole earth trembled, and the veil was torn
Love so amazing, love so amazing, yeah

All I hope is in You, all I hope is in You
All the glory to You, God, the Light of the world

There is power in the name of Jesus! Let’s take a look at what the Bible says about the name of Jesus.

And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 14:13 NKJV

For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.
Matthew 18:20 NKJV

If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
John 14:14 NKJV

And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you,
whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
John 16:23 NKJV

When Jesus walked the earth, His name had great power. The following Scriptures show the use of His name and the power to heal the most terrible afflictions. These people called out to Jesus in faith.

And when he had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power
against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness
and all manner of disease.
Matthew 10:1 KJV

And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness,
and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt,
which thou knowest, upon thee;
but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.
Deuteronomy 7:15

Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name
that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9 NIV

That means that everyone ever born will someday bow when the name, “Jesus,”  is mentioned.  They will not only bow but will acknowledge Jesus as Lord.

Right now, those who believe in Jesus and acknowledge Him in this lifetime as Lord and Savior, already have the power to use His name.

But these signs are written so that you may come to believe that Jesus is the Messiah,
the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life in His name.
John 20:31

The phrase “in the name” of Jesus denotes His authority and power.  To “believe in the name of Jesus” is to be persuaded in Jesus’ authority (Matthew 28:18) and thus place our trust, acts in His authority.   Acts 4:12 says,  “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under Heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”  Saved, healed, delivered included.  For those who really do believe in the name of Jesus, there is no pit that Jesus cannot deliver you from.

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for Thou art my praise.
Jeremiah 17:14 KJV

We can live in Victory all throughout our lives because we have Jesus living inside of us!! We are not Victims—we are Victorious through Him!

*  ~  *  ~   ♥  ~  ✞  ~  ♥    ~  *  ~  *

Heavenly Father, thank You for the power in the name of Jesus that is available to us because of the sacrifice made on our behalf. Because the same power that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in us who believe. May we be women who choose to live in Victory and not live as Victims of our circumstances. To You be the glory, Father! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Take Me Back

It’s your heart that keeps you running
And it’s your mind that I can’t change
Will you ever be returning
And coming back again, coming back again
Take me back to the place where it started
Take me back to the warmth of the sun
To the place where the rivers meet the ocean
Take me back home
Yeah, that’s where I belong
And have you ever really wondered
As we walk beneath the stars
Will we find the truth, will we discover
It isn’t very far, it’s not so very far

I wonder if I’ve gone too far

Lord, please help me get back home
Where I belong

It’s your heart that keeps you running

Do you remember the day that your life changed forever?  The day that you gave your whole life to Jesus?  You lay your burdens at His feet that very first day. But what happens from there?  I know…we start slowly picking those burdens back up again, and then some.  We try so hard to be good mothers, good wives, good daughters.  But, ultimately, we must go back to the beginning…lay it all down…and allow Him to take over and help us be like Him.
This song paints such a beautiful scene.  Warm sunshine and rivers meeting oceans and just real peace…makes you really want to go there, right?  I believe this is what Heaven looks like, plus a little gold, maybe.  But here on earth, things get messy and life gets hard and we have to make a conscious effort to look to the Cross and lay all our burdens down.  Every morning we must do that in order to have the life that Jesus died for us to have.  John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”  That’s the life Jesus wants for us. And we can’t have that full life when we are burdened with past sins and shame and regret.  Jesus will only love you through it; He will not condemn you.  He will wrap His arms around you and say that you’re forgiven and that you’re loved.  Our biggest mistake sometimes is letting sins build up on top of each other.  Instead of repenting immediately because of fear, we keep repeating the same sins over and over.  Jesus already knows, and He loves you just the same.
As we enter the Easter season, let’s remember that it is because of the Cross that we are free to ask forgiveness for our sins.  It is because of His death that we will live forever in Heaven with Him.  So today, let this song take you back to the day that you were forever His, and He was forever yours.  Enjoy the song!

Dear Heavenly Father,  You are an awesome, amazing, unconditionally loving and perfect God.  Thank You for Your patience, Your longsuffering and for caring so much about the details of our lives.  Thank You for that day, that we came to know Your Son and started a whole new life, a full life with you.  Thank You for letting us lay it down every day.  We love You and we praise You.  For it’s in Your Son’s precious name we pray, amen.

Overcome

psalmshymnsspiritualsongskjv

Seated above, enthroned in the Father’s love
Destined to die, poured out for all mankind
God’s only Son, perfect and spotless One

He never sinned but suffered as if He did
All authority, every victory, is Yours
All authority, every victory, is Yours

Savior, worthy of honor and glory, worthy of all our praise, You overcame
Jesus, awesome in power forever, awesome and great is Your name, You overcame

Power in hand speaking the Father’s plan
You’re sending us out, light in this broken land
All authority, every victory, is Yours

We will overcome by the blood of the Lamb
And the word of our testimony
Everyone overcome

This song is so powerful and speaks to me in so MANY ways!!!  Let’s take a moment to praise Him, shall we??

Savior, worthy of honor and glory, worthy of ALL our praise!!!  You overcame!  Jesus, awesome in power, forever, awesome and great is Your name!!!

We walk in VICTORY because of Jesus!  We can hold our head up high in ALL of our circumstances because with Jesus we can be victorious in each and every situation we face and we can do it well.  Let’s see what it means to walk victoriously in our day to day life….

Romans 8:28 tells us:
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Notice that it doesn’t say in some things.  It says in ALL things!!!  We ARE overcomers.  We were never meant to walk defeated in life.  We are to walk from victory to victory and strength to strength remembering who God says we are. We were never meant to be weak-willed women…but MIGHTY for the Kingdom.

I want to share with you one of my favorite women in the Bible—Deborah.  I love how courageous she was and how mightily God used this woman.  She was definitely not a weak-willed woman.  She inspires me.  Here is what a  Chabad.org,  says about her.  I love the visual picture this commentary paints of her.

“Deborah lived in the Mountains of Ephraim, between Ramah and Beth-El. In the midst of the sin and idolatry, Deborah remained true to God. She was wise and God-fearing, and the people flocked to her for advice and help. Deborah held court beneath a palm tree, in the open air. There, where everyone could hear her, she warned the Jewish people and urged them to leave their evil ways and return to God. The entire Jewish nation respected this great prophetess.
Deborah was the wife of a man whose name was Lapidoth, which means “torches.” It tell us, that at the advice of his wife he furnished large wicks and oil for the lights of the sanctuary of Shiloh, which burned like torches. This was the effect of this holy woman on everyone around her: spreading the light of Torah. Similarly (it explains) that she sat under a palm tree to show to the world that the Jewish people was all united and turning their eyes again to God, like the leaves of the palm turn upward together, towards heaven.”

Deborah was in tune with God and knew what her part for the Kingdom was and she did it well and God used her mightily. We ALL have different gifts that God has given us for our role in the Kingdom. It is important to be in tune with God so we know what our role is. A woman with a teachable spirit and a willing heart can be used mightily by God.

 *  ~  *  ~   ♥  ~  ✞  ~  ♥    ~  *  ~  *

Heavenly Father, I pray that we would remember who we were meant to be and who You say we are.  I pray that each woman would be in tune with You and as they seek You they will find out their role and purpose in Your Kingdom.  I thank You that You have overcome and, because of that, so have we.  To You be the Glory, Father, in Jesus name!!!  Amen.

We Fall Down

We fall down, we lay our crowns
At the feet of Jesus
The greatness of mercy and love
At the feet of Jesus

And we cry holy, holy, holy
We cry holy, holy, holy
We cry holy, holy, holy is the Lamb

What a vivid image of worshipping our Lord and Saviour!  He made the ultimate sacrifice for you and me.  I know I am thankful for His love and mercy that is granted to me each and every day.  I am so often reminded of who He is and what He means to me.  He has forgiven me so much and I owe Him my life. After my son was born, I dedicated him to God.  I was so thankful for this child that was left in my care.  With the help of others, their prayers, and much of my own, my son has grown up to be a wonderful man of God.  He is still growing in the Lord and is pursuing a life that would be pleasing to our Father.  My step-daughter, who came to live with us about two years ago, has changed and grown so much.  I love watching what God is doing in her life.  She is pursuing God with a passion.  There were a few bumps in the road, but that is becoming less and less.  I have the daughter I never had and I am privileged to have her in my life.

May this song bless you with it’s simplicity!

Remember

psalmshymnsspiritualsongskjv

This is the Body that was torn for us
This is the Blood that was spilt
Points to the pain You endured for us
Points to the shame, the blame, the guilt

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, come…move our hearts to remember

This is the Lamb who was slain for us
So we, the Church, may enter in
So bittersweet when we think of You
The One who bore our curse, our sin

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, come…move our hearts to remember

Sometimes, we forget.  (And how could we forget?)  But we do.  (I don’t know how…but we do.)  We forget our Suffering Savior.  We forget His hurt and tortured and bruised Body.  We forget His spilled Blood.  And I think that our Lord knew we would forget; remember what He said to His beloved apostles as He shared His final meal with them?

Then He took a loaf [of bread], and when He had given thanks,
He broke [it] and gave it to them saying,
This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.
Luke 22:19

Undoubtedly, those twelve men had no idea what Jesus was communicating to them. But within a few days, they knew.  Perhaps, they then were asking God to move their hearts to remember also.

Paul also caused the believers in Corinth to remember:

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
1 Corinthians 11:24-26

There are many, oh-so-many, reasons for us to remember what Jesus accomplished through His death and sacrifice on the Cross. Here are just a few. “Lord,…move our hearts to remember!

He himself bore our sins in His body on the Cross,
that we might die to sin and live to righteousness
1 Peter 2:24

When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh,
God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,
having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness,
which stood against us and condemned us;
He has taken it away, nailing it to the Cross.
And having disarmed the powers and authorities,
He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the Cross.
Colossians 2:13-15

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us— for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”
Galatians 3:13

For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God
through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled,
shall we be saved by His life.
Romans 5:10-11

…Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold
from your futile way of life inherited from your fathers,
but with precious Blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the Blood of Christ.
1 Peter 1:18-19

…Having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt
that stood against us with its legal demands. This He set aside, nailing it to the Cross.
Colossians 2:13-14

God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us,
so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21

And we must intentionally remember because

“…the message of the cross is sheer absurdity and folly
to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition,
but to us who are being saved it is the manifestation of the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:18 AMP

These next couple of weeks are an excellent time to determine to focus on Jesus’ sacrifice, and all that He went through (His betrayal, His trial, His torture, His crucifixion) leading up to His death and (oh! joy!) His Resurrection!  There are many things one can do to purposefully ‘remember’ Jesus’ accomplishments, such as…

  • Read through Matthew chapters 26 and 27; Mark chapters 14 and 15; Luke chapters 22 and 23; John chapters 17 through 19
  • Download an app (on your tablet or smartphone) of a daily devotional focusing on Jesus’ last days. One suggestion would be the YouVersion of the Bible.
  • Listen to hymns and other Christian songs which help you to recognize and remember what Jesus went through. And sing your praise! (Perhaps make a playlist.)
  • Ask a loved one (a family member or a friend) to be your accountability partner during this time.
  • Watch a movie depicting this time period of our Lord’s final days.
  • And finally, but most importantly, pray…asking God through the Holy Spirit to help you to remember.  It is a prayer I know He will answer.

The Cross Is My Confession

psalmshymnsspiritualsongskjv

The Cross is my confession
Approach my soul, the Mercy Seat
Where Jesus answers prayer
For none can perish there
Your promise is my only plea
You gather broken souls
Oh, Healer, draw me close
Bowed down beneath a weight of sin
By war without and fears within

Oh, the Cross
Oh, the Cross
The Cross is my confession
Your Cross, Jesus

You are my Shield
And now In Christ
I’ll face my every foe
And tell them they have died
Oh, wondrous Love
Eternal Life
As we all plead Your name
All sinners such as I
By grace received my soul be still
Your work in me both power and will

Oh, the Cross
Oh, the Cross
The Cross is my confession
Oh…Your Cross

For I believe in God the Father
And in His Son there is no other
His very life living inside

This I confess my righteousness
His very life living inside
Jesus, Your Cross
Your Cross

Are you a prayer warrior?  Do you know that prayer paves the way for the answers that you so desire?  Look back to the times of Moses…he and Caleb and Joshua learned that giants are best slain by a conversation with God before the battle.  They asked and they praised Him and they listened to His voice.  He answered their prayers!  What are the giants that they faced?  Probably similar to the ones we face today.  Difficulty, discouragement, and detours sometimes caused by our own lack of confidence or our own pride.  Or the biggest one—fear.

Prayer is more than just believing in God.  It’s believing that He is hearing you and He is answering you, whether you actually see it or not. We approach His Throne, or Mercy Seat, sometimes on our knees and other times just exactly where we are.  Sometimes we are confessing our sins, asking His mercy and grace to give us peace.  Other times we are in need of something…like a new job, financial freedom, healing from a disease, or whatever we need at the time.  He promises to always listen.  He hears every prayer.  And He takes away our fears and replaces it with courage in Him.

He is our Shield.  We are always protected under His mighty arms.  We can face anything this world has to throw at us as long as we arm ourselves with His Word— our Shield and Sword.  He wants the best for you, His child.  No matter what we have gotten ourselves into, no matter how low we have gone, or how far we have moved away from Him, we can never go so far that He can’t reach us.  He is our Beloved, our Eternal Love.  He gave His son in our place, so we can live forever.

At the Cross, we can go and find rest. We can find forgiveness for our sins and we can leave our brokenness at the foot of the Cross and walk away free.  Do you want that freedom?  Do you know how to have it?  Just ask Him.  Tell Him you need Him and He will meet you right where you are.  He loves you and is waiting….

*  ~  *  ~    ♥  ~  ✞  ~  ♥    ~  *  ~  *

Let us pray:  Dearest Lord, we praise You for Who You are.  We thank You for letting us come before You and praise Your name.  You are the Authority over all.  You are patient, kind, and loving.  You give grace and mercy, You fill us with peace and joy.  Thank You for being our Shield, our Deliverer.  You answer our prayers, and we trust You.  For sending Your Son, we are ever grateful.  We believe in You, we believe in Your Son, we believe in the Cross. We will try to live out our confessions and be a witness to all around us.  Thank You for prayer…for listening…for saving us from ourselves.  It’s in Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

My Redeemer Lives

psalmshymnsspiritualsongskjv

Who taught the sun where to stand in the morning
Who taught the ocean you can only come this far
And Who showed the moon where to hide ‘til evening
Whose words alone can catch a falling star

Well I know my Redeemer lives; I know my Redeemer lives
All of creation testifies tthat here’s life within the Christ
I know my Redeemer lives

The very same God that spins things in orbit
Runs to the weary, the worn, and the weak
And the same gentle hands that hold me when I’m broken
They conquer death to bring me victory

Now I know my Redeemer lives; I know my Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify that there’s life within the Christ
I know my Redeemer…

He lives to take away my shame
And He lives (forever I’ll proclaim)
That the payment for my sins was the precious life He gave
Now He’s alive and there’s an empty grave

And I know my Redeemer lives; I know my Redeemer lives
Let all creation testify that there’s life within the Christ

I know my Redeemer
I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
He lives….

When you really stop to think about those things (and really reflect on them): Who taught the sun where to stand in the morning?  And Who taught the ocean to only come so far…and then stop and go back out?  Or Who taught the moon where to hide ‘til evening?  It is AMAZING and something most of us cannot even begin to comprehend!   The Creator of the universe didn’t miss a detail…so powerful!

Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom.
Isaiah 40:28

The very same God that spins things in orbit, runs to the weary, the worn and the weak

But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

And the same gentle hands that hold me when I’m broken…

The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18

(The same gentle hands) they conquer death to bring me (and you) victory…

But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable.
Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know
that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58

Sisters, we have SO MUCH to be thankful for!  A heavenly Father who went through so much to redeem and restore our lives.  Even though in this world we know we will have trouble, be encouraged!  Jesus has overcome the world!  This week I encourage you not to focus on the circumstances. Instead choose to have joy in your journey and be thankful for ALL the Blessings you do have.

Heavenly Father, I pray for each one of my sisters this day that they would be strong and immovable and that they would know that nothing they do when they do it for You is useless. When they choose to have joy in their journey, and choose thankfulness and victory in You over their life’s circumstances, I know You will be smiling.  And I pray You would bless them through their obedience in Jesus’ name!!  AMEN!!

When You Took My Place

Searchin’ desperately to find Someone who could save me

Have you ever been lost?  If so, then you can appreciate the amazing, indescribable feeling of relief of being found or finding your own way out.  Isn’t it true though, that you can’t truly appreciate the victory until you’ve tasted defeat?   And until you’ve been in the dark, you cannot appreciate the light of a flashlight?  My point is, until life really happens to you, and until you’ve really struggled and been in the valley, you cannot really appreciate climbing out of it and being on the mountain top.

Think back to your darkest hour… Did you feel His arms around you?  Did you know that He is strongest in your weakness?  And at some point, did you think that there is no way you can make it one more day not one more minute?  Then out of the Heavens, He shows up.  He shines His light into our darkness.  He meets us exactly where we are and saves us.  We don’t have to get good enough. We can never be good enough.  You know, we are all sinners and we all come short of His glory.  But because of a loving God Who sent His Son to literally take our place, we have a life that is abundant, a life full of blessings.  All we have to do is ask.  All we have to do is accept His redeeming love and His unending forgiveness.  And we are not to live in the shame of our past.  We have to live that forgiveness.  We have to hold on to His grace.  We have to live out His love for us and love others the way He calls us to.  All because He took our place.

Where are you today?  Are you in the woods somewhere lost and in need of a road map?  Or are you in a valley and need a rope to get up to the mountain?   He is a word away. He says “Come to Me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).  God delivers with a “mighty hand and an outstretched arm” (Deuteronomy 5:15).  And then when you are on the other side of the road from your circumstances and God has rescued you and given you the victory, then tell the world that “He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God (Psalm 40:3).

If you’re still in the middle of a hard place, then place your hope in Him. He will not leave you in one place too long.

He loves you.

He took your place so that you could live forever with Him in eternity.

And take heart…He overcame the world!

I did not know of a place I could go
Where I could find a way to heal my wounded soul
He said that I could come into His Presence without fear
Into the Holy Place where His mercy hovers near

I’m runnin’, I’m runnin’, I’m runnin’ to the Mercy Seat
Where Jesus is calling, He said His grace would cover me
His blood will flow freely, it will provide the healing
I’m runnin’ to the Mercy Seat, I’m runnin’ to the Mercy Seat

Are you living where hope has not been
You’re lost in the curse of a lifetime of sin
Well, underneath the illusions, they never come true
I know where there’s a place of mercy for you
He said that you could come into His Presence without fear
Into the Holy Place where His mercy hovers near

Come runnin’, come runnin’, come runnin’ to the mercy seat
Where Jesus is calling, He said His grace would cover me
His blood will flow freely, It will provide the healing
Come runnin’ to the Mercy Seat, come runnin’ to the Mercy Seat
He said that you could come into His Presence without fear
Into the Holy Place where His mercy hovers near

Come runnin’ to the Mercy Seat
Lord, have mercy
Christ, have mercy
Lord, have mercy on me

I know Your grace is greater than my sin!
You said that Your grace would cover me
Your blood would flow freely it will provide the healing
I’m runnin’, I’m runnin’, I’m runnin’ to the Mercy Seat
Where Jesus is calling, He said that His grace would cover me
His blood will flow freely, it will provide my healing
I’m runnin’, come runnin’, come runnin’ to the Mercy Seat

What a great question to ask ourselves today: ‘Are you living where hope has not been?  Are you lost in the curse of a lifetime of sin?  Underneath the illusions, they never came true.’  I KNOW where there is a place of mercy for you…. Sisters, I KNOW this to be the Truth in my own life.

The definition of the word illusion is “…a thing that is, or is likely to be, wrongly perceived or interpreted by the senses.”  It is the lie that is believed.  A lie I once believed that there was NO hope for my past choices…until I discovered the Truth!!  Are you believing the lie?  The lie that there is no hope for you??   As Proverbs 13 :12 tells us “Hope deferred makes the heart sick….”  Sisters, let me assure you there is ALWAYS, ALWAYS HOPE in JESUS!!!  His grace is greater than my sin!

Sisters, come running to the Mercy Seat where Jesus is calling.  His Blood has provided for your and my healing.

He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven],
not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves
[by which to make reconciliation between God and man],
but His own blood, having found and secured
a complete redemption (an everlasting release for us).
Hebrews 9:12 AMP

I love Matthew Henry’s commentary on Hebrews 9:15-22.

The solemn transactions between God and man, are sometimes called a covenant, here a testament, which is a willing deed of a person, bestowing legacies on such persons as are described, and it only takes effect upon his death. Thus Christ died, not only to obtain the blessings of salvation for us, but to give power to the disposal of them. All, by sin, were become guilty before God, had forfeited every thing that is good; but God, willing to show the greatness of his mercy, proclaimed a covenant of grace. Nothing could be clean to a sinner, not even his religious duties; except as his guilt was done away by the death of a sacrifice, of value sufficient for that end, and unless he continually depended upon it. May we ascribe all real good works to the same all-procuring cause, and offer our spiritual sacrifices as sprinkled with Christ’s blood, and so purified from their defilement.

Heavenly Father, I pray for each and every woman reading this blog that they would not believe the lie that there is no hope for their situation.  But, instead, receive the Truth that there is ALWAYS Hope in You!!!  Thank You for the blood sacrifice so that we may obtain grace and healing.  In Jesus’ name! AMEN!!!
