\u201cThe greatest discovery of any generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude.\u201d \u2013William James<\/i><\/p>\n

I challenge you to think about your \u201cugly\u201d moments.\u00a0 What\u2019s in your heart? Is beauty being revealed to those around you when you gossip, when you think negatively, when you dwell in self-pity and despair?<\/p>\n

Our \u201cugly\u201d moments have one thing in common: our self.\u00a0 We\u2019re focused on how I<\/strong> feel, what I<\/strong> want, what I <\/strong>don\u2019t have\u2026you get the point.\u00a0 It\u2019s all about \u201cme.\u201d\u00a0 In each of our authors\u2019 examples of women who offered true beauty, these ladies did a 180 with the spotlight.\u00a0 They focused their hearts, their attitudes, and subsequently, their actions on reaching out to people.\u00a0 Healing begins when we reach out to those in need; we offer joy and beauty when we serve.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don\u2019t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.\u201d \u2013 Barack Obama<\/p>\n

True beauty is a condition of the heart<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 I challenge you today to examine your own heart.\u00a0 Where is it? What does it look like? How do you want God to change it so that He can work through you to affect the hearts of others?<\/p>\n

Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
\nand the one who gets understanding,
\nfor the gain from her is better than gain from silver<\/i>
\n<\/i>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/i>and her profit better than\u00a0gold.<\/i><\/p>\n


\nShe is more precious than\u00a0jewels,
\nand\u00a0nothing you desire can compare with her.
\nLong life is in her right hand;
\nin her left hand are\u00a0riches and honor.
\nHer\u00a0ways are ways of pleasantness,
