{"id":980,"date":"2012-08-01T06:00:47","date_gmt":"2012-08-01T11:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/?p=980"},"modified":"2013-01-24T17:42:14","modified_gmt":"2013-01-24T22:42:14","slug":"the-resolution-for-women-anything-everything-and-whatever","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/2012\/08\/01\/the-resolution-for-women-anything-everything-and-whatever\/","title":{"rendered":"The Resolution for Women:  Anything, Everything, and Whatever"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/h1>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cAnything, Everything and Whatever\u201d<\/h2>\n<p><strong>From Christi:<\/strong> \u00a0I would like to take a moment to introduce you to Beverly McCormick, our newest Blogger for Girlfriends Coffee Hour. \u00a0I am very excited that she has agreed to become a regular on a blog! \u00a0I hope you enjoy her blogs, as much as I think you will! \u00a0Welcome Bev, to the Girlfriends Coffee Hour Blogging Team!<\/p>\n<p>________________________<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>We can\u2019t do anything well, when we choose to do everything, so we decide to just do whatever.<\/p>\n<p>WOW, this statement hit me hard as I studied this lesson. \u00a0\u00a0Then I took a look at our scripture verse for today,\u201cTherefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God\u2019s glory\u201d. 1 Cor. 10:31.<\/p>\n<p>and then another scripture came to my mind, \u201cAnd whatever you do, whether \u00a0in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father through him\u201d. \u00a0Col 3:17.<\/p>\n<p>God is really trying hard to give us a message through this study today<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Whatever we do<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Do it for His glory<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Then give Thanks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Like many women we constantly feel like we are failing at everything, we go to bed feeling inadequate, that we just don\u2019t have what it takes, that we just don\u2019t have it together like everybody else. As this lesson taught us we set the bar too high, we get discouraged, we can\u2019t do anything because we are exhausted from trying to do everything.<\/p>\n<p>As Priscilla\u2019s friend told her and should stand for us too \u201cyou cannot do a thousand things to the glory of God, but you can do one or two.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And Paul teaches us that we should zero in on our unique set of \u201cwhatever you do\u201d qualities, because there is value in the way we do them.<\/p>\n<p>God has put us where we are in this season of life for a reason. \u00a0It may not be the most glamorous role we will have, it may not have been our choice, but it was the place He designed and chose just for each of us. We are in this place (this season) \u00a0on purpose.<\/p>\n<p>God is not concerned at all about what we think we should have accomplished in our life or where we should be or how we compare to others, but God is concerned about what we are doing in the place (the season) that He has assigned us to. \u00a0\u00a0God doesn\u2019t ask us to do what other people are doing. \u00a0\u00a0He wants us to do what He has told us to do and do it with all our being in the place we are in, even if the place is the \u201cwhatevers\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of my \u201cwhatever\u201d places that my life consists of:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">-laundry<br \/>\n-dishes<br \/>\n-cleaning<br \/>\n-mothering<br \/>\n-chauffer<br \/>\n-cook<br \/>\n-library assistant<br \/>\n-mechanic<br \/>\n-nurse<br \/>\n-teacher<br \/>\n-wife<\/p>\n<p>We must realize what God has gifted each of us to do and do them with all our might as unto the Lord. \u00a0\u00a0Each of us will have our own set of \u201cwhatevers\u201d because each of us are uniquely designed for a purpose.<\/p>\n<p>We must take a moment to consider what God has uniquely equipped us to do as well as what He\u2019s asking of us or (what He\u2019s NOT asking of us) in this season of our life, \u00a0then no matter what day it is, or how old we are or what the moment demands we can be ourself, \u00a0fully believing that our personal \u201cwhatever you do\u201d is fulfilling the purpose of God and that it will bring Him glory and honor (in anything and everything).<\/p>\n<p>Pg. 100 of todays lesson from Priscilla Shirer \u201cResolution for Women\u201d Paul\u2019s instructions are not meant to inspire us to become like somebody else \u2013 to start doing more of the things they do, like they do them. It\u2019s calling for \u201cwhatever YOU do\u201d. There is value in the unique way you mother your children, love your husband, do your job, oversee that committee, participate in that organization and spend your time. \u00a0It\u2019s what YOU do, how YOU do it and that\u2019s what He has promised to undergird with His power, causing Himself to be magnified through your actions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Be encouraged my dear sister, we are where we are on purpose \u2013 by His design. We are in this specific season of life for a reason, so whatever your whatevers are \u2013 do them all for His glory and don\u2019t compare your whatevers to someone else\u2019s. \u00a0\u00a0Be faithful and accountable for the tasks He has assigned specifically to you for they are \u201cpreparation\u201d for the great \u201cwhatevers\u201d He still has yet to come in your life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">______________________<\/p>\n<address><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Let\u2019s pray:<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">God I thank you for all the ladies who are participating in this Bible\u00a0Study and I pray that You help us all to \u201csee\u201d that we don\u2019t have to \u201cdo\u00a0everything\u201d and that it is OK to say no, or there may be times we need to\u00a0put things in the background and wait a while (until You are ready for\u00a0us Lord), help us Lord to seek You so that in \u201cwhatever \u201c we do, we do it\u00a0ALL for Your glory.
