Shame<\/em><\/h2>\n

Shame is a powerful word.\u00a0 To me, it is one of those words that means so much more than the definition reveals.\u00a0 According to dictionary.com<\/a>, shame is \u201cThe painful feeling arising from the consciousness of something dishonorable, improper, ridiculous, etc., done by oneself or another.\u201d\u00a0 The painful <\/i>feeling; yes, pain<\/em> being the key word.\u00a0 Many of us have had something unpleasant happen to us in our lives.\u00a0 Something that makes us feel \u201cless than\u201d—less than what my family needs…less than what the boy is asking for…less than what God wants from me.\u00a0 It is what we do with those feelings that define our outlook.<\/p>\n

When we turn those feelings of \u201cless than\u201d into BELIEFS that we actually are<\/span> less than, then shame is born<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 God doesn\u2019t want us to live in shame.<\/span><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Shame makes us hide, makes us think that we are not worthy.\u00a0 Not worthy of meaningful friendships, not worthy of voicing our opinions, not worthy of love.\u00a0 We are not even comfortable in our own skin.\u00a0 We are so worried we will get hurt again; we just pack ourselves away and play it safe.\u00a0 This is a very lonely place to be.\u00a0 As daughters of The King, we need to fight these thoughts that do not speak truth into our hearts.<\/p>\n

\"Created<\/a>As Romans 10:11<\/strong> tells us \u201cAs scripture says, ‘Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame<\/strong>.’\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/i> This<\/span> is the life He has for us if only we believe.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Some of us may have trust issues, even with God, but now is the time to change that.\u00a0 Start praying today, right now, and ask God for forgiveness for putting your trust in yourself rather than in Him and then ask for His help.\u00a0 He wants you to be free of any feelings of inadequacy.\u00a0 You were created for more.\u00a0 You are His creation.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 No matter what you have done, no matter what pain you have endured, no matter where your thoughts have taken you, once you confess your sins He sees you as pure as snow.<\/p>\n

As we read in Isaiah 1:18<\/strong>, \u201cCome now, let us settle the matter,<\/strong>\u201d says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson they shall be like wool.<\/strong>\u201d<\/i>\u00a0 Let it go, my sisters!\u00a0 Free yourself to live completely in the life the Lord intended for you.\u00a0 This is my prayer for you.<\/p>\n

LET\u2019S PRAY<\/strong><\/p>\n

ABBA\u00a0Father, thank You that You love us no matter what. Please forgive all our sins and, Father, please help us to forgive ourselves and overcome all the unnecessary feelings of guilt and shame.\u00a0 Thank You for hearing and answering our prayers. In Your Holy Name we pray, Amen.<\/p>\n
