This week in our current series, Seeking Him<\/b><\/i>, we will focus on recognizing how vital it is to include singing our praises<\/b> to God as part of our quiet time.<\/p>\n
Each Saturday we have been looking in-depth at a few of the most important aspects of having a dedicated, purposeful quiet time.\u00a0 At the beginning of this series I had the privilege of sharing with you a few thoughts from some friends about their own quiet time.\u00a0 Gathering from their experiences, there seem to be a few basics which include:<\/p>\n

If you are like me, you have found that singing<\/b> and praising through song<\/b> is so uplifting, don\u2019t you think?\u00a0 Almighty God is <\/i>the point…He is <\/i>the focus…keeping my mind and heart set toward Him is<\/i> my aim.\u00a0 He is<\/i> the reason <\/b>why I sing praises to Him!<\/p>\n
Psalms 147:1, 7<\/strong><\/p>\n Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God, There are more reasons to praise our God than we have words enough to do so! Here are just a few of His attributes:<\/p>\n And just some of His wonderful works:<\/p>\n There is a day coming when all will praise God by bowing to Jesus the King!<\/p>\n Philippians 2:10-11<\/strong><\/p>\n That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, And every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and<\/i> acknowledge Almighty God is oh-so-worthy to be praised!\u00a0 Psalm 107 would be a great place to be encouraged with reminders of what God has done for His children!\u00a0 Throughout this particular psalm\u00a0is listed proof after proof of God\u2019s goodness.<\/p>\n Psalms 107:8, 15, 21, 31<\/strong><\/p>\n Oh, that men would praise [and confess to] the Lord for His goodness The Book of Psalms has been called the \u2018Praise Book\u2019 of the Bible.\u00a0 In it are literally<\/em> hundreds of examples of praises and reasons why praise is oh-so-very important.\u00a0 Did you know that every single one of the 150 psalms included in the Book of Psalms is an actual song?\u00a0 Steve Pearson, a wonderful singer and songwriter, has written and recorded many songs using the words of the Psalms and his own inspired musical accompaniment.\u00a0 Here is a link to his website\u00a0\u00a0 http:\/\/www.psalmistry.com\/<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a> Check it out!\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n As I read the Scriptures, one thing is clear: singing our praises is a good thing!<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n Join Miss Amy Grant as she sings Sing Your Praise to the Lord<\/span>!
