I had settled my body down last night, but my mind was tossing and turning all night long.\u00a0 And so I did what the Psalmist did when he was troubled and despondent&#8230;I sang.<\/p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MUWbmtbzDno?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">David spoke to the Lord the words of this song on the day when the Lord delivered him from the hands of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.\u00a0\u00a0 He said: The Lord is my Rock and my Fortress and my Deliverer;\u00a0\u00a0 My God, my Rock, in Him will I take refuge; my Shield and the Horn of my salvation; my Stronghold and my Refuge, my Savior\u2014You save me from violence.\u00a0\u00a0 I call on the Lord, Who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.\u00a0\u00a0 In my distress I called upon the Lord; I cried to my God, and He heard my voice from His<br \/>\ntemple; my cry came into His ears.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 Samuel 22:1-7<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>This week in our current series, <i>Seeking Him<\/i><\/b>, we are going to focus on recognizing how essential it is to praise our God<b> even<\/b> in the midst of trials and troubles and heartaches.\u00a0 Yet one more reason to purpose to have your quiet time\u2014to bring our hearts before Almighty God first thing in the morning.\u00a0 Taking the time&#8230;making the time&#8230; to be still and to seek your heavenly Father is vitally important to the state of your heart throughout the day.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Just like my early morning today (and let me tell you, the attacks did not stop! oh, no&#8230;they did not!) and the balance of the day, we ALL experience trials and temptations.\u00a0 But we can experience a preparation for those times when we purpose to be in our Father\u2019s presence at the beginning of each day.\u00a0 Listen to this song by Mrs. Sara Groves, encouraging us!\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&lt;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-admin\/%3chttp:\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UHmenrxcbsw%3e\"><strong>http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UHmenrxcbsw&gt;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #cc99ff; text-decoration: underline;\">First Song That I Sing<\/span><\/h2>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the morning when I rise \u2022 Help me to prioritize \u2022 All the thoughts that fill my day \u2022 Before my schedule \u2022 Tells me that my day is full \u2022 Before I&#8217;m off and on my way \u2022 <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #cc99ff;\"><i>I want to praise You \u2022 I need to praise You \u2022\u00a0<\/i><\/span><i><span style=\"color: #cc99ff;\">Let the first song that I sing \u2022 Be praises to my God and King \u2022<\/span> <\/i><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Before the curtains part \u2022 Before my day is starting \u2022 Before I make up the bed \u2022 Before the snooze alarm \u2022 Reminds me that it&#8217;s morning \u2022 Before the dreams have left my head \u2022 <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #cc99ff;\"><i>I want to praise You \u2022 I need to praise You \u2022\u00a0<\/i><\/span><i><span style=\"color: #cc99ff;\">Let the first song that I sing \u2022 Be praises to my God and King \u2022<\/span> <\/i><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Before my feet hit the floor \u2022 I&#8217;ll praise You, Lord, I&#8217;ll praise you Lord \u2022 Before I fill my cup \u2022 I&#8217;ll lift you up, I&#8217;ll lift you up \u2022 Before I start my day \u2022 I&#8217;ll sing your praise, I&#8217;ll sing your praise \u2022 Before I start my car \u2022 Before I get too far \u2022 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Oh, the joy that wells up in our hearts as we continue to praise our God!\u00a0 Yet another reason for our morning quiet time, my friends!\u00a0 Consider this,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><em><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Through Him [Jesus], therefore,<br \/>\nlet us constantly and at all times<br \/>\noffer up to God a sacrifice of praise,<br \/>\nwhich is the fruit of lips that thankfully<br \/>\nacknowledge and confess and glorify His name.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><br \/>\nHebrews 13:15<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sometimes giving our praises to God requires us <i>sacrificing<\/i> our own desires and purposing in our hearts to voice our thankfulness, even when we don\u2019t <i>feel<\/i> very thankful.\u00a0 &#8220;Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus&#8230;&#8221; (1 Thessalonians 5:18).<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><em><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To the end that my tongue and my heart and everything glorious within me<br \/>\nmay sing praise to You and not be silent.<br \/>\nO Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.<br \/>\nPsalm 30:12<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Keep <i>Seeking Him<\/i> and enjoy your quiet time with your Lord!
