to search out a matter is the glory of kings.”<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n

Proverbs 25:2<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n

We are created in God\u2019s image<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Think about that.\u00a0 Out of ALL the things that God created, everything, it is us that He decided to create in His image.\u00a0 What an amazing honor.\u00a0 As I was reading this passage I was so thankful and in awe of our God.\u00a0 When we take time to truly contemplate all He is and all He does, it should bring us to our knees.\u00a0 It\u2019s amazing.<\/p>\n

Now because we were created in God\u2019s image, we can start to look at parallels in that relationship.\u00a0 In Proverbs we read, \u201cIt is the glory of God to conceal a matter, to search out a matter is the glory of kings.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 This is how He reveals Himself, and it is how He wants us, as women, to approach our lives also.\u00a0 Does God go out and force Himself on anyone who will listen?\u00a0 Absolutely not<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 He wants us to know<\/strong> Him, and then grow more and more in love with Him each day.\u00a0 In Jeremiah 29:13<\/strong><\/em> it says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.<\/strong><\/em>” He has confidence that if you truly get to know Him, you can\u2019t help but fall in love with who He is and want to make that relationship grow.<\/p>\n

This was a big \u201cwow\u201d moment for me as I was reading.\u00a0 The way that God woos each\u00a0and every one of us is the same way we should go about any potential relationship we may be considering.\u00a0\u00a0 He created us to be a mystery, a beauty to unveil<\/strong><\/em>, and we should take that to heart.\u00a0 How do you behave when you are interested in someone?\u00a0 Do you throw yourself at them?\u00a0 Do you make it easy for them?\u00a0 Do you give too much too soon?\u00a0 I know there have been times in the past when I have done all of those things.\u00a0 It has never led to anything good, let\u00a0alone godly.\u00a0 We need to use the example of our Lord.\u00a0 Intimacy requires time; it requires a slow unveiling of the beautiful mystery you are<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 I loved this quote, “Whatever else it means to be feminine, it is depth and mystery and complexity, with beauty at its very essence.<\/strong><\/em>“<\/span><\/span>\u00a0 Every single woman reading this right now has a beauty to unveil.\u00a0 Every one.\u00a0 You are created in the image of God.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 What is more beautiful than that?<\/p>\n

As we have read through this chapter on Eve, think about the amazing truths we have heard.\u00a0 Why is it that we long for romance, we long for an \u201cEzer\u201d and believe beauty is essential to life?\u00a0 Because God wants these things too!\u00a0 He created our uniquely feminine heart.\u00a0 It is a beautiful thing.\u00a0 We long because He longs.\u00a0\u00a0 This continues to blow me away!\u00a0 As we finish up this chapter I ask each of you to not only remember this, but believe it:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 “<\/span>There is a radiance in your heart that the world desperately needs.“<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span>\u00a0 Shine bright, ladies!<\/p>\n

LET’S PRAY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lord, we are so grateful to You for the way You love us. \u00a0Thank You for creating the beauty and mystery within us. \u00a0Please help us to keep that sacred. \u00a0We want to live out a life that honors the beauty You have given us. \u00a0Remind us to take it slow, and help us remember we are worth getting to know. We want to shine Your light through our depth, mystery and\u00a0complexity. \u00a0In Your Holy Name we pray. Amen.<\/p>\n
