Welcome Back, EVERYONE!!!\u00a0 2013<\/span> is almost here and we are READY to get started in a BIG way.\u00a0 We just completed our very first online Bible study<\/em> <\/strong>of \u201cA Daughter\u2019s Worth\u201d by Ava Sturgeon<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 We had approximately 30 girls<\/span> and lots of women participating in our ministry in 2012.\u00a0 As our study came to a close, we were looking forward to Christmas<\/span> and then the New Year<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 We had time off from school for winter<\/span><\/strong><\/em> break in the United States and summer<\/span> <\/em>break in South Africa.\u00a0 Is that not a wild concept???\u00a0 Christmas is still Christmas<\/em>, but it\u2019s winter on one side of the world and summer on the other!\u00a0 We have gone from a brand new online ministry to a ministry that is being read and has participants in over 100 countries<\/span> <\/strong>across the globe.\u00a0 God is SOOOOO good!<\/p>\n

Do you think that when Jesus<\/span> told the disciples to \u201cGo and Tell the World\u201d<\/strong><\/span> he would know that we would have the internet<\/em> and Facebook<\/span> and friends<\/span> <\/strong>all over the world that are as close as our keyboards and phones?\u00a0 The original disciples and followers of Jesus<\/span> walked<\/em> from city to city.\u00a0 They floated<\/em> a boat from coast to coast.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t as easy to tell the world about Jesus<\/span> as it is today, BUT THEY DID IT<\/strong>!!!\u00a0 You know how I know they did it?\u00a0 Because if they hadn\u2019t, you and I would not know the name JESUS<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 We would not be here, in this place, in this time if the followers of Jesus<\/span> had not GONE and TOLD about the Savior of the World.<\/p>\n

Over the next few weeks, the month of January, we are going to get to know each other.\u00a0 We are going to see just how much we have in common, no matter where we live.\u00a0 The central, most important thing we have in common is JESUS.<\/span>\u00a0 I want to \u201chear\u201d you guys talking and getting to know one another.\u00a0 I have had the chance to \u201cmeet\u201d some wonderful friends here at Girlfriends Coffee Hour<\/strong> <\/em>and my teen friends here at GCH:decaf<\/span> are THE BEST!\u00a0 I have even gotten to meet some of the girls and ladies face-to-face.\u00a0 That has been so much fun.\u00a0 Megan, Tina and I are going to start meeting with girls in our area to help the friendships grow.\u00a0 I want you guys to form your own groups and send us pictures, videos and stories of how you are sharing GCH:decaf<\/span> and Jesus<\/span> with your friends and your community.\u00a0 Jesus<\/span> said, \u201cGo and Tell the Good News\u201d.\u00a0 Let\u2019s DO IT!!!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We are going to be studying the teen book \u201cnot a fan\u201d<\/span><\/strong> by Kyle Idleman and working through the teen edition Follower\u2019s Journal<\/span>.\u00a0 You will need both books<\/span> to keep up and get the most out of our study.\u00a0 We are going to look at our relationship with Jesus<\/span> and see what our relationship status is.\u00a0 The book starts out telling us that believers fall into TWO (2) categories:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 The \u201cI Like Jesus on Facebook\u201d<\/strong> group, and<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 The \u201cWhy does Facebook even ask about religion?\u201d<\/strong> group.<\/p>\n

I liked this book from the start.\u00a0 No nonsense, no church-y words, just real life.\u00a0 We are going to learn a new term:\u00a0 D.T.R.\u00a0 (Define The Relationship)<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Every girl knows that when you have a crush you want to know if that special someone likes you too.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t take very long before you want to define the relationship (know where you stand).\u00a0 We are going to do that with our relationship with Jesus<\/span>, too.\u00a0 He already knows how HE feels about us.\u00a0 He loved us so much that he came to earth as a baby (Christmas) and died (Easter) for our sins so that we can live with Him forever. \u00a0While He was here, he taught average, normal, lost people about himself and His Father in Heaven.\u00a0 Then He told them to spread the word.\u00a0 The story of Jesus started with 12 disciples who followed Him and has grown to believers that cover the globe.<\/p>\n

As we finished the study of \u201cA Daughter\u2019s Worth\u201d by Ava Sturgeon<\/em>, we hope that you have a better understanding of who you are to God and why Jesus<\/span> came to save you.\u00a0 Some of you shared how your lives were being changed and we are very thankful for that feedback and for the difference Jesus<\/span> makes in your life.\u00a0 The leaders were definitely changed and grew closer to the Lord and each other through this study.\u00a0 We ask you to go a little deeper and define your relationship with Jesus.\u00a0 Find out just how deep your crush on Him goes.<\/p>\n

In addition, we are going to have TWO (2)<\/strong> age groups in GCH: decaf<\/span>.\u00a0 The older group will have ladies from 18-24 years old and we call them VENTI<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 The younger group is for young ladies 12-18 years old and is called GRANDE<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 We want you all to feel comfortable talking about relevant life issues in an age appropriate way.\u00a0 The fellowship group is open to all ages, so we will get to \u201csee\u201d all our friends and chat and giggle with each other.\u00a0 Tell all your friends.\u00a0 There will be a contest coming in January and the student with the most referrals gets cool prizes<\/em>.\u00a0 The leaders are already recruiting and want to compete too (SMH, smh).<\/p>\n

I cannot tell you all just how excited we are to be offering \u201cnot a fan\u201d<\/span><\/strong> beginning Monday, February 4th<\/sup>, 2013!!!!!\u00a0<\/strong> My relationship with JESUS<\/span> is the most important one in my life.\u00a0 I hope you D.T.R. and see that it is the most important in yours as well.\u00a0 Get your books.\u00a0 Begin READING the RED<\/span> book and we will begin the Follower\u2019s Journal<\/span> on February 4<\/strong><\/span>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Same great bloggers, same great schedule.<\/p>\n
