{"id":631,"date":"2012-07-11T00:18:36","date_gmt":"2012-07-11T05:18:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/?p=631"},"modified":"2013-01-01T20:41:39","modified_gmt":"2013-01-02T01:41:39","slug":"the-resolution-of-women-its-good-to-be-a-girl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/2012\/07\/11\/the-resolution-of-women-its-good-to-be-a-girl\/","title":{"rendered":"The Resolution for Women ~ It&#8217;s Good to be a Girl"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><strong>Memory Verse:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong><em>Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Proverbs 31:30<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\" align=\"center\">Wow, I had to read our chapter over and over today before actually finding the words to blog for you!\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211; Do I say this every week in my blog?\u00a0 I think so [grin]\u00a0 because it seems every week it takes several times before I &#8216;get it&#8217; and truly understand what it is that God is instructing me to pass on to you!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\" align=\"center\">Now without further ado, along with reading the words Priscilla wrote, I googled &#8216;the great women of the bible&#8217;.\u00a0 \u00a0I googled the women I didn&#8217;t know well, googled those I did, and really tried to get to know these women so I could share just the right message.\u00a0\u00a0 Then it became apparent, a light bulb went off ~ He truly wants me to teach you\u00a0 that it&#8217;s <strong>more than <\/strong>okay to be a girl ~ it&#8217;s an honor and privilege to be a girl!\u00a0 The heck with society &#8211; as women, we have a purpose!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\" align=\"center\"><em><strong>~we are fearfully and wonderfully made &#8211; Our God makes no junk! (Psalm 139.14)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\" align=\"center\">Unfortunately being raised Catholic, mass, confession, and communion were all led by priests.\u00a0 Attending the Baptist church, I soon learned that there were certain situations where women could not teach or lead men.\u00a0\u00a0There is and has always been an awful lot of emphasis on what women <span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">could not<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"> do<\/span>,\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">could not say<\/span>, or <span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">could not be,<\/span>\u00a0instead of\u00a0 what WE CAN DO (based on the God-given talents we\u00a0received and His intent for our lives).\u00a0\u00a0 This\u00a0is intent, by the way, that He blessed us with at creation ~ it&#8217;s not something He decided years later to develop or invoke ~ \u00a0it&#8217;s part of the BIG picture, His BIG plans for us &#8211; the ones he put into place many, many years ago as he was picking out the color of our\u00a0eyes and the number of\u00a0freckles on our noses!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\" align=\"center\">We are\u00a0 <strong><em>NECESSARY<\/em> &#8211;\u00a0 <\/strong>Did you realize the statistics in church\u00a0these days?\u00a0 Sadly, there are more women than men\u00a0in\u00a0attendance.\u00a0\u00a0 On\u00a0Father&#8217;s Day in the\u00a0church I attended, there were\u00a0 1\/3rd the number of men to women.\u00a0\u00a0 Although men are to be the leaders in the homes and in the families, many families are unequally yoked and it is necessary for the women of the house to &#8216;train up their children&#8217; in the ways of the Lord.\u00a0 We were given the characteristics of a &#8216;feminine heart&#8217; full of wisdom, along with the gift of soft touch ~ things as wives and mothers we will use to keep Christ in our homes.\u00a0 We have been prepared ahead of time for what the days may bring.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\" align=\"center\">We are <strong><em>IMPORTANT<\/em><\/strong> and <em><strong>WORTHY<\/strong> &#8211; <\/em>When Jesus met the woman of\u00a0Samaria at the well he treated her with mercy and love.\u00a0 He held conversation with her that showed he truly cared, that she mattered.\u00a0 He asked her opinions and valued her responses.\u00a0 Jesus treated her like a somebody, he treated her with importance and worth.\u00a0 He set the stage for the women of today &#8211; we too are valued.\u00a0\u00a0We are worthy of the Messiah&#8217;s <em>&#8216;living water&#8217;.<\/em>\u00a0 &#8211; Let me say that again,\u00a0 <strong>&#8220;WE ARE WORTHY OF THE MESSIAH&#8217;S LIVING WATER&#8221; each flaw intended!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0We are beautiful, worthy, necessary, gifted and blessed beyond words!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRAYER:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Abba Father,\u00a0 Thank you for the blessing of being women who were created specifically to fulfill your plans and purposes;
