It\u2019s Tuesday, January 1, 2013<\/strong><\/em>!!!\u00a0 We made it!\u00a0 Of course the Mayans were wrong\u2026the BIBLE<\/span> says in Matthew 24:36, \u201cBut about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.\u201d\u00a0<\/span> <\/em>Let\u2019s live 2013 like it is a GIFT from God\u2026because it is!\u00a0 The month of January we will be meeting a different GCH:decaf girl every day.\u00a0 Each blogger will be introducing you to a new friend.<\/p>\n

Today, I want to introduce you to my friend VICKY<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 She is a rockin\u2019 awesome girl that I have met personally (swoon).\u00a0 We did an interview session and I want to share what I have learned about Vicky<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Vicky<\/span> \u00a0is 14 years old and lives in Murfreesboro, TN.\u00a0 When asked \u201cWho is your favorite musician or group\u201d, Vicky<\/span> answered, \u201cOne Direction\u201d.\u00a0 Hmmm, I\u2019m really gonna have to look these English boys up.<\/p>\n

Vicky<\/span>\u2019s favorite Christian artist is Francesca Battistelli.\u00a0 She writes and sings her own music and is a totally cool young woman.\u00a0 Frannie actually lives the life she sings about.\u00a0 Check her out.\u00a0 Thanks Vicky!<\/p>\n

I asked Vicky<\/span> what her favorite movie of all time was and she said, \u201cSpiderman\u201d.\u00a0 That surprised me a little.\u00a0 I\u2019m going to have to investigate that topic a little further with her.\u00a0 Is it because she has 4\u00a0brothers and they made her watch it so many times?\u00a0 Is it because of the boyish good looks of Peter Parker?\u00a0 Does she like to swing by spider silk???<\/p>\n

Vicky<\/span> and her mom, Megan, like to watch Grimm together.\u00a0 I introduced them to Once Upon a Time and now they like to watch both fairy tale related TV shows.\u00a0 Those Grimm guys are a little dark for me, but Vicky<\/span> LOVES them.\u00a0 Have you seen it?<\/p>\n

When we talked about clothes and style, Vicky<\/span> said she is a fan of all things PANTS.\u00a0 I\u2019m with her.\u00a0 She looks mighty cute in her pants and she accessorizes them nicely.\u00a0 Way to Go!<\/p>\n

If you were one of Vicky\u2019<\/span>s friends you would hang out and watch movies together.\u00a0 She loves to curl up and watch movies.\u00a0 I\u2019ll bring the popcorn.\u00a0 You guys should totally show up and crash her couch.<\/p>\n

I bet while she is watching movies she has a plate full of her favorite cookies.\u00a0 Vicky<\/span> has been taking a course in home economics and has been learning to cook.\u00a0 We have seen some pictures of her delicious creations on the fellowship page.\u00a0 I bet those are some good cookies!\u00a0 Let me know when the next batch is coming out of the oven.<\/p>\n

I asked Vicky<\/span> one final bonus question.\u00a0 \u201cWhat is one thing that changed your life?\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Vicky<\/span> has shared with us before in our last study that \u201cHaving her mom, Megan, come into her life\u201d<\/em> was a life changing moment.\u00a0 Does that seem odd to you guys?\u00a0 Life deals us some pretty rough things to handle sometimes.\u00a0 But when it does, GOD is there to give us a hand out of the rough stuff.\u00a0 Vicky\u2019<\/span>s mom, Megan, was adopted into their family.\u00a0 Maybe you guys have similar situations.\u00a0 I am thankful for Vicky<\/span> and for Megan and their willingness to share their life story.\u00a0 It\u2019s pretty cool.\u00a0 You really should get to know my friend Vicky<\/span>.<\/p>\n
