I talked to my girls about some of the names girls get called when they try to live out their life for God.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 I added a few \u2018old school\u2019 words I heard when I was in school, too.\u00a0 Things haven’t changed so much.\u00a0 See if these look familiar:<\/p>\n

When people think about you, what kind of words come to mind?\u00a0 I look over this list of words meant to hurt<\/span> <\/strong>and cause peer pressure<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0 They say these words to make themselves feel okay about the way they are choosing to live their lives, not so much about the way a \u201cgood girl\u201d lives hers.\u00a0 So look back over that list again.\u00a0 Is there really anything bad on that list?<\/em> \u00a0Is there anything there that would cause God to be ashamed of your behavior?<\/strong>\u00a0 Can you bring glory to God as you live your life\u2026even if people call you names like that?\u00a0 \u00a0I know you have heard the words that \u201cBad Girls\u201d get called.\u00a0 Think about that list.\u00a0 Is God glorified if you are living a “bad girl” kind of lifestyle?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

At this point in our study, we have learned what God expects of us as a Daughter of the King.\u00a0 We know how to bring our earthly parents joy and we know how to make our Heavenly Father happy.\u00a0 It\u2019s time to live out our faith in God.\u00a0 There may still be some bad habits we have, or some areas in our lives we need to turn away from.\u00a0 Look how easy it is to change:<\/p>\n

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.\u00a0 Psalms 51:10<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

When your heart is clean, your thoughts will change, your actions will change, people will notice.\u00a0 In today\u2019s lesson of A Daughter\u2019s Worth<\/em>, Ava Sturgeon says, \u201cAfter accepting Christ, you begin to desire the clean heart that He provides. \u201c<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 Then Ava encourages us:\u00a0 \u201cSharing Christ is so much easier when you become a living testimony.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.\u00a0 Luke 6:45b<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Live<\/span> YOUR<\/span> Faith<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 It\u2019s impossible to give away something you don\u2019t have.\u00a0 Make sure the people in your life can see the change Jesus has made.\u00a0 You won\u2019t be perfect<\/em>, but you will be forgiven<\/strong><\/span> and can begin each day fresh and new.\u00a0 Show love,<\/span> kindness<\/span><\/strong>, compassion<\/span> and generosity.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 There will be a different list of words people will say about you.\u00a0 Words that truly do bring glory to God, the Father and words that you WILL NOT<\/strong> <\/em>be embarrassed by.<\/p>\n

Before we go, I want to remind you of ways to Keep Your Life Clean<\/span>:<\/p>\n

\u2022Put God first<\/span><\/strong>. This means making the commitment to seek God.<\/p>\n

\u2022Finding ways to be a blessing<\/span><\/strong>. “Being a Blessing” means taking the focus off yourself and placing it onto someone else.<\/p>\n

\u2022Acting right on purpose<\/span><\/strong>. This means treating people with kindness, respect, and patience, even those that are hard to love. \u00a0Right behavior is Christianity in action<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s Pray:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Heavenly Father,\u00a0 We want to bring glory to You.\u00a0 We want others to see Your life shining through us.\u00a0 Create in us a clean heart.\u00a0 Give us the desire to remove those bad habits from our lives and live for You.\u00a0 Help us to treat others with kindness, respect and patience.\u00a0 Help us as we walk out our faith, especially on the hard days.\u00a0 We love You Lord.\u00a0 AMEN<\/p>\n
