I love the way it sparkles, and I especially love the way it shimmers in the light. And Christmas lights? Even better! I found three fun and simple Christmas crafts that are not only beautiful, but they won&#8217;t break the bank either! Time to get our glitter on, girls!<\/p>\n<p>*Note: You can find all three projects pinned on our <a href=\"http:\/\/pinterest.com\/gchministries\/saturdays-with-shandy\/\">&#8220;Saturdays with Shandy&#8221; board on Pinterest<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>Shopping list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Glitter in your choice of colors (I love the Martha Stewart glitter from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaels.com\/\">Michael&#8217;s<\/a>!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Clear ornaments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Pledge Floor Care Finish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Faux fruit (I like using all pears as shown in the picture. Check your local dollar store!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Glue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Small brush to apply glue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Clothespins<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Double-stick tape<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You&#8217;ll also need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Workspace covered with newspaper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>Ornaments<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; You can find the tutorial at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.plumadorable.com\/make-your-own-glitter-ornaments\/\">Plum Adorable<\/a>. I will be making several of these! They would make wonderful gifts as well!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Fruit<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; You can see the picture at <a href=\"http:\/\/iowagirleats.com\/2011\/11\/18\/friday-favorites-12\/\">Iowa Girl Eats<\/a>. This is a very easy craft. Simply brush with glue, sprinkle with glitter, and let dry! Then display them in a bowl or basket, and you have a classy centerpiece! Mine are going to be done in a champagne colored glitter. Very classy, indeed!<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Clothespins<\/strong><\/em> &#8211; You can find the tutorial at <a href=\"http:\/\/poshlittledesigns.com\/2012\/03\/15\/glamorous-glittery-clothespins-diy\/#comment-64\">Posh Little Designs<\/a>. Use these to hang Christmas cards from garland on a mantel or bannister, or from ribbon or twine. I&#8217;ll be using these (all in gold!) to hang the cards I get this year from the garland on our bannister. It&#8217;s going to be beautiful!<\/p>\n<p>When do you start decorating for Christmas? I always get my decorating done the day after Thanksgiving, and everything stays up until the end of January. What colors will you be using for your glittery projects?
