(I only had Cornbread and Turkey flavors on hand so that\u2019s what I used here\u2026 improvise, people! lol)<\/p>\n<p>2 cans of Cream of Chicken soup<\/p>\n<p>1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup\u2026 Note: my husband and I are picky eaters and we do not care for mushrooms. \u00a0BUT we do like the taste of cream of mushroom soup (weird huh?), so I strain out the mushroom pieces whenever I use it in a recipe. \u00a0But if you\u2019re a mushroom fan, by all means, leave them in.<\/p>\n<p>3 large chicken breasts<\/p>\n<p>2 sticks of butter (I used salted, but use whatever floats your boat) \u2013 Paula Deen would be proud \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>2 cans of chicken broth<\/p>\n<p>9\u00d713 baking dish<\/p>\n<p>Extra butter or Cooking Spray to grease the baking dish<\/p>\n<p>First \u2013 cook your chicken. \u00a0You can do this on the stove in a pot with water or broth. \u00a0I like to throw some frozen chicken breasts in the slow cooker with water or broth (if I have some handy) and let them cook for 4-6 hours on high. \u00a0The chicken will be so tender you can shred it with a fork. \u00a0So that\u2019s what I did here. \u00a0If you cook your chicken on the stove, you will need to dice it up into small pieces when it\u2019s done.<\/p>\n<p>While that\u2019s happening, you need to get everything else ready in separate bowls.<\/p>\n<p>Dump the two boxes of stuffing into a large bowl. \u00a0DO NOT prepare the stuffing as directed on the boxes. \u00a0Just throw the dry stuffing into a large bowl. \u00a0Then take your two sticks of butter and melt them in the microwave and add to the stuffing. \u00a0Mix it up good so the butter covers all of the stuffing. \u00a0Now set that aside.<\/p>\n<p>Next, you want to empty your can of cream of mushroom into a medium sized bowl (strained or unstrained, that is the question\u2026 ) Save the can and fill it full of chicken broth, then mix that into the cream of mushroom soup. \u00a0I use a whisk to make sure it\u2019s mixed well. \u00a0Set the cream of mushroom mixture aside for now.<\/p>\n<p>Next, put the two cans of cream of chicken into a large bowl and again, mix in one \u201ccan-ful\u201d of chicken broth with a whisk. \u00a0Set this aside also.<\/p>\n<p>If you haven\u2019t already, shred or dice your chicken into another bowl. \u00a0Now you should have four bowls of ingredients waiting to be united in casserole goodness. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Spray or grease a 9\u00d713 baking dish and start with a layer of stuffing mixture\u2026 use 1\/3 of the mixture here. \u00a0Then add a layer of chicken\u2026 use 1\/2 of the chicken here. \u00a0Now add in the cream of mushroom mixture then add another layer of the stuffing mixture\u2026 use half of what is left in the bowl. \u00a0Then add a layer of chicken, use all that you have left. \u00a0Then, add the cream of chicken mixture and then top with the last of the stuffing mixture.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/2012\/11\/20\/gch-whats-on-your-plate-chicken-casserole\/done\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4217\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4217\" title=\"done\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/69.89.31.171\/~girlfrk8\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/done.jpg\" height=\"314\" width=\"420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/done.jpg 1639w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/done-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/done-1024x767.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Doesn\u2019t that look amazing?
