What an awesome yet frightening thought all at once. \u00a0There are several references in the Bible about experiencing the Presence of God. \u00a0From the beginning of time, God was present in the earth. \u00a0He walked with Adam, then with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden until the Fall.<\/div>\n<div class=\"copyright\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"copyright\" style=\"text-align: center;\">And they heard the sound of the <span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span> God<br \/>\nwalking in the garden in the cool of the day,<br \/>\nand the man and his wife hid themselves<br \/>\nfrom the Presence of the <span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span> God among the trees of the garden.<br \/>\nGenesis 3:8 ESV<\/div>\n<div class=\"copyright\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"copyright\">Could you imagine being able to walk in the garden and talk with God? \u00a0To hear Him walking around to come and greet you? \u00a0That seems to be incomprehensible, but it was part of Adam and Eve&#8217;s existence until they were led astray. \u00a0Through all of time, God knew what we would do, and how man would fall. \u00a0Because of this He sent His Son to us, to live among us, to show us how much God loved us. \u00a0It began with an announcement from Gabriel.<\/div>\n<div class=\"copyright\"><\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"copyright\"><span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">I<span class=\"text Luke-1-26\">n the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,<\/span> <span id=\"en-ESV-24912\" class=\"text Luke-1-27\">to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was<\/span><em><span id=\"en-ESV-24912\" class=\"text Luke-1-27\"> Jos<\/span><\/em><span id=\"en-ESV-24912\" class=\"text Luke-1-27\">eph, of the house of David. And the virgin&#8217;s name was Mary.<\/span> <span id=\"en-ESV-24913\" class=\"text Luke-1-28\">And he came to her and said, \u201cGreetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"copyright\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #a11e24;\"><span id=\"en-ESV-24913\" class=\"text Luke-1-28\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-24914\" class=\"text Luke-1-29\">But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be.<\/span> <span id=\"en-ESV-24915\" class=\"text Luke-1-30\">And the angel said to her, \u201cDo not be afraid, Mary, for you have<\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-24915\" class=\"text Luke-1-30\"> <\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-24915\" class=\"text Luke-1-30\">found favor with God.<span style=\"font-size: 13.3333330154419px; line-height: 20px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-24916\" class=\"text Luke-1-31\">And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 13.3333330154419px; line-height: 20px;\">\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-24917\" class=\"text Luke-1-32\">He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David,<\/span> <span id=\"en-ESV-24918\" class=\"text Luke-1-33\">and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"copyright\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #a11e24;\"><span id=\"en-ESV-24918\" class=\"text Luke-1-33\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-24919\" class=\"text Luke-1-34\">And Mary said to the angel, \u201cHow will this be, since I am a virgin?\u201d <\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-24920\" class=\"text Luke-1-35\">And the angel answered her, \u201cThe Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy\u2014the Son of God. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-24921\" class=\"text Luke-1-36\"><span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth<\/span> <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">month with her who was called barren.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 13.3333330154419px; line-height: 20px;\">\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-24922\" class=\"text Luke-1-37\">For nothing will be impossible with God.\u201d<\/span> <span id=\"en-ESV-24923\" class=\"text Luke-1-38\">And Mary said, \u201cBehold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.\u201d And the angel departed from her.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"copyright\">\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"copyright\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">Luke 1:26-38 ESV<\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"copyright\">To be as humble of a servant as Mary. \u00a0To allow the stares, glares, whispers to come against her and Joseph. \u00a0<em>But she knew<\/em>. \u00a0She knew she was going to bear the Light of the world&#8212;the Savior of the world, Jesus. \u00a0And she could endure like those prophets, judges, and anyone else who had suffered for God.<\/div>\n<div class=\"copyright\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"copyright\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">* \u00a0\u00a0\u2665 \u00a0~ \u00a0\u271d \u00a0~ \u00a0\u2605 \u00a0 *<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"copyright\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"copyright\">Father, let me be a humble servant for You and Your Kingdom.
