When I am praising any other person on this earth, I don\u2019t simply say\u2013for example, \u2018Oh, I just praise Kassia\u2026she\u2019s so good!\u2019 Or, &#8216;Oh, you should see that Cynda; wow!&#8217; \u00a0No; I say, \u2018Oh, it was so awesome! Can I tell you about how Clella ministered to me when she wrote about giving thanks&#8230;? \u00a0She shared some very impactful verses.\u2019 \u00a0Shouldn\u2019t it be likewise, when praising Almighty God, I should be specific about His awesome lovingkindness, His mercy, His grace, His steadfast love!?! \u00a0Yes?<\/p>\n<p>The Psalmist\u2014King David\u2014 was really, really, really good at this! \u00a0Of the 150 individual psalms which form\u00a0the Book of Psalms in the Bible, more than 80 have been ascribed to David. \u00a0David, who God called \u2018a man after my own heart,\u2019 wrote phrase after phrase (praise after praise!) filled with praises of His God\u2026and praising Him specifically. \u00a0Listen to a few examples of David\u2019s praises.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever!<br \/>\nPsalm 107:1<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The Lord lives, and blessed be my Rock,<br \/>\nand exalted be the God of my salvation\u2014<br \/>\nThe God who gave me vengeance<br \/>\nand subdued peoples under me,<br \/>\nWho delivered me from my enemies;<br \/>\nyes, You exalted me above\u00a0those who rose against me;<br \/>\nYou rescued me from the man of violence.<br \/>\nFor this I will praise you, O Lord\u2026.<br \/>\nPsalms 18:46-49<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Shout for joy to God, all the earth;<br \/>\nSing the glory of His name; give to Him glorious praise!<br \/>\nSay to God, \u201cHow awesome are Your deeds!<br \/>\nSo great is Your power that Your enemies come cringing to You.<br \/>\nAll the earth worships You and sings praises to You;<br \/>\nthey sing praises to your name.\u201d<br \/>\nSelah<br \/>\nPsalms 66:1-4<\/p>\n<p>As is written in Psalm 107:2 \u201cLet the redeemed of the Lord {that is you and me!} say so\u2026\u201d \u00a0Be specific when you sing or speak or shout your praises to Your loving Father! \u00a0And when you are praising Him to others\u2026use words to tell them about how wonderful, loving, faithful, compassionate, merciful, and gracious your heavenly Father is! \u00a0As Mrs. Ellie Holcomb has done in this song\u2014she sings out her praises of what He has done and how very good He is! \u00a0I love to sing along with her blessing my God and praising and thanking Him! \u00a0You, too?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">* \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 \u00a0\u271e \u00a0 \u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 *<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Oh, Lord, we do so love to praise You\u2014and we have so very many, many, many opportunities to praise You for Your goodness, Your faithfulness, Your kindness, Your love! \u00a0Forgive us, Lord, when we have failed to voice the whys of our praises! \u00a0We, truly, have so very much to praise and thank You for\u2026may we not be remiss in telling you exactly why! \u00a0We love You and adore you, Lord!
