\nAnd always be thankful. <\/span>
\nLet the message about Christ in all its richness, fill your lives. <\/span>
\nTeach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. <\/span>
\nSing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. <\/span>
\nAnd whatever you do or say, do it as representative of Lord Jesus, <\/span>
\ngiving thanks through Him to God the Father. <\/span>

When I first read this passage, verse 15 stuck out to me, “…and let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.” \u00a0The part that I got stuck on was “…and always be thankful.” \u00a0I know it’s clich\u00e9 to say that you should always<\/em> <\/strong>be thankful—but you should<\/span>. \u00a0It’s so easy to say that you have nothing to be thankful for when you aren’t focused on the bigger picture.<\/p>\n

When you focus on what you don’t<\/strong> have<\/em> it’s easy to forget what you already do<\/strong> have<\/em>. \u00a0For instance, perhaps you want a new car, but you just can’t afford it. \u00a0Yes, it would be helpful, but you can still be thankful for what you do<\/strong> already have.<\/em><\/p>\n
