My first thought was to write on the three obvious points that both this song and these scriptures make&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>1) God is good. That&#8217;s who He is, it is a part of His character, His nature<br \/>\n2) His faithful loves endures forever<br \/>\n3) we are to give thanks to the Lord for the previous two reasons<\/p>\n<p>But I kept getting hung up on <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em><strong>forever.<\/strong><\/em><\/span>\u00a0 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dictionary.com<\/span> defines forever as: without ever ending, eternally; continually, always; an endless period of time. \u00a0&#8216;Limitless&#8217; is another definition that comes to mind. \u00a0There is nothing on earth that can be described or defined this way. Yet multiple times <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>forever<\/strong> <\/span><\/em>is used in regards to God:<\/p>\n<p>His throne is <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">forever<\/span> <\/em>&#8211; Psalm 45:6<br \/>\nHis love and mercy endures <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">forever<\/span> <\/em>&#8211; Psalm 136:26<br \/>\nHis reign is <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">forever<\/span> <\/em>&#8211; Psalm 146:10<br \/>\nAll God does lasts <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>forever<\/em> <\/span>&#8211; Ecclesiastes 3:14<br \/>\nHe destroys death <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>forever<\/em> <\/span>&#8211; Isaiah 25:8<br \/>\nHe is steadfast forever and His dominion is <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">forever<\/span> <\/em>&#8211; Daniel 6:26<\/p>\n<p>And these are just <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a few<\/span> I found in the Old Testament. Very few things in this world are constant. \u00a0And there isn\u2019t much we can depend or rely on. People and things will always let us down. \u00a0But God\u2019s love is limitless. His mercy is bottomless, His dominion is boundless and His reign is endless. God is steadfast, faithful and enduring.
