At those times, it is best <strong>not<\/strong> to run and isolate; and try to be alone. It is best to seek our God.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me,<br \/>\nand I will hear and heed you.<br \/>\nThen you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity]<br \/>\nand find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.<br \/>\nJeremiah 29:12 and 13<\/p>\n<p>To know God\u2019s promises brings such peace and comfort to our minds, does it not? \u00a0Here we read of His particular promise to hear when we call and His promise to be found when we seek Him. \u00a0His promise to us (to me and you!) is so simple! Listen&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>my<\/em> part:\u00a0call upon Him&#8230;seek Him with my whole heart<br \/>\n<strong><em>His<\/em><\/strong> part: He will hear and heed&#8230;He will be found<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The psalmist surely understood these promises! \u00a0David was chased, hunted down by Saul and his army. \u00a0He had to hide in caves and amongst the rocks on the cliffs. \u00a0He was all alone during most of this time&#8230;alone\u2014except for the abiding Presence of his God! \u00a0David knew that his God would hide him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter;<br \/>\nin the secret place of His tent will He hide me;<br \/>\nHe will set me high upon a rock.<br \/>\nPsalm 27:5<\/p>\n<p>For David this was<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> literally<\/span> true. \u00a0For us, however, most of our \u2018hiding\u2019 is not out in the wilderness. \u00a0Our hiding is in plain sight&#8212;we hide our hearts, our feelings, our thoughts. \u00a0But we can turn to the One Who loves us so and seek Him. \u00a0And when we do, He will be found. \u00a0And He will hide us in His shelter.<\/p>\n<p>Think back&#8230;maybe you don\u2019t need to go too far into your memories&#8230;to a time when you called out to your heavenly Father and sought Him with all your heart. \u00a0When, perhaps, you were going through a situation and you needed His protection over your heart. When He heard you&#8230;and was found by you&#8230;and He hid you (your feelings, your thoughts, your heart). \u00a0How did you feel then?
