\u00a0I found a recipe at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.myretrokitchen.blogspot.com\/\">My Retro Kitchen<\/a>, which, I think, is the way my Mom made them. \u00a0Unfortunately, I was all out of Worcestershire sauce! \u00a0<strong><em>Frugal Girlmet<\/em><\/strong> to the rescue &#8211; I decided to keep the technique and use a different flavor. \u00a0Innovate, experiment &#8211; voila! \u00a0Korean Spiced Pumpkin Seeds!<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">These have everything you want in a snack &#8211; crunchy, salty, spicy (but not TOO spicy &#8211; unless that&#8217;s how you roll, in which case, double the dried chili pepper powder!) and just a bit sweet. \u00a0These would be a great bar snack (in the name of science, I had to test my hypothesis, and these are fantastic with a cold beer!)<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><b><u>Korean Spiced Pumpkin Seeds<\/u><\/b><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">Ingredients:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">1 1\/2 &#8211; 2 cups raw pumpkin seeds, rinsed and patted dry<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">1 tablespoon sesame oil<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">1 tablespoon soy sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">1\/2 teaspoon sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">1\/2 teaspoon granulated garlic (not to be confused with garlic salt!)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">1\/4 teaspoon Korean chili powder (or use Cayenne or sriracha)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">Directions:<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ol>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">Preheat oven to 275 degrees. \u00a0Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">In a large bowl, mix everything but the pumpkin seeds. \u00a0Make sure you have no lumps of garlic or sugar. \u00a0Stir in the pumpkin seeds, then scrape it all out onto the baking sheet. \u00a0Spread the seeds out on the sheet so they can cook evenly.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">Cook for one hour, stirring every ten minutes. \u00a0They get a little sticky, so use a silicon spatula. \u00a0After an hour, remove from the oven and let cool for about an hour. \u00a0Don&#8217;t worry, they&#8217;re not sticky anymore. \u00a0Remove to a bowl and get snacking!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"post-footer\">\n<div><strong>Explore, experiment, enjoy!<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Dana<\/div>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<p>To view even more of Dana\u2019s unique recipe, you can visit her at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/frugalgirlmet.blogspot.com\/\">Frugal Girlmet<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Halloween, everyone!
