As for God, His way is perfect: <\/span>
\nThe Lord’s Word is flawless; <\/span>
\nHe shields all who take refuge in Him. <\/span>
\nPsalm 18:30<\/span><\/p>\n

*\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 *\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I was once told (or maybe I heard, or read it, somewhere) that God’s rules are not to deprive us of things, but are to keep us from the potential hurt we could cause<\/em>. \u00a0For instance,<\/p>\n

Don’t use foul or abusive language.
\nLet everything you say be good and helpful,
\nso that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
\nEphesians 4:29<\/p>\n

God has instructed us to not use foul or abusive language because He knows the damage it can do. \u00a0Words are very powerful. \u00a0They are enough to scar a person for life. \u00a0And once they are out, there is no taking them back. \u00a0Apologizes can be said, but the memory of your words will be there.<\/p>\n

I know our verse (Psalm 18:30) is most likely referring to physical<\/span> refuge<\/em><\/span>\u2014as in keeping you safe from bodily harm. \u00a0But when I read it the first refuge I thought of was emotional<\/span> refuge<\/span><\/em>. \u00a0Life can be rough and it has this way of wearing you down if you let it. \u00a0God’s Word does have a way of warning us about certain situations. However, whether we listen, or not, is up to us. \u00a0I think Proverbs is a really great book that lets us know \u201cIf<\/strong> this…then that<\/strong>\u201d. \u00a0We can find refuge in the Lord’s words by avoiding these situations.<\/p>\n
