[<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.adw.org\/2014\/08\/what-were-weddings-like-in-jesus-day\/\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to learn more<\/a> about marriage in Jesus\u2019 day.) \u00a0How excited she must have been, waiting in anticipation. \u00a0Did she keep looking out the window, or crack the door open to check to see if he was coming up the street? \u00a0How many times did she straighten her dress, and check her hair to make sure everything was perfect for her coming groom?<\/p>\n<p>With that same anticipation, preparedness, and excitement, we as believers should be looking for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. \u00a0We hear stories occasionally of a bride being left at the altar, jilted by her groom. \u00a0That is very, very sad. \u00a0But we have the assurance that Jesus is faithful and true, and He loves us so much that we never need to worry about being jilted by Him. \u00a0Jesus will come again to take us to His home in Heaven. \u00a0He has prepared a place for each of us to spend eternity with Him.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few encouraging and reassuring Scriptures to get you excited about our soon-coming King:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Listen! It\u2019s the voice of someone shouting,<br \/>\n\u201cClear the way through the wilderness\u00a0for the Lord!<br \/>\nMake a straight highway through the wasteland\u00a0for our God!<br \/>\nIsaiah 40:3<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Listen to me, O royal daughter; take to heart what I say.<br \/>\nForget your people and your family far away.<br \/>\nFor your royal husband delights in your beauty;<br \/>\nhonor Him, for He is your Lord\u2026<br \/>\nThe bride, a princess, looks glorious\u00a0in her golden gown.<br \/>\nIn her beautiful robes, she is led to the King,\u00a0accompanied by her bridesmaids.<br \/>\nWhat a joyful and enthusiastic procession\u00a0as they enter the King\u2019s palace!<br \/>\nPsalms 45:10-15<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God!<br \/>\nFor He has dressed me with the clothing of salvation<br \/>\nand draped me in a robe of righteousness.<br \/>\nI am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding\u00a0or a bride with her jewels.<br \/>\nIsaiah 61:10<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u2026there will be heard once more the sounds of joy and laughter.<br \/>\nThe joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will be heard again,<br \/>\nalong with the joyous songs of people bringing thanksgiving offerings to the Lord.<br \/>\nThey will sing,\u00a0\u2018Give thanks to the Lord of Heaven\u2019s Armies,<br \/>\nfor the Lord is good. \u00a0His faithful love endures forever!\u2019<br \/>\nJeremiah 33:11<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cPraise the Lord!\u00a0For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.<br \/>\nLet us be glad and rejoice,\u00a0and let us give honor to Him.<br \/>\nFor the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb,\u00a0and His bride has prepared herself.<br \/>\nShe has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.\u201d<br \/>\nFor the fine linen represents the good deeds of God\u2019s holy people.<br \/>\nAnd the angel said to me, \u201cWrite this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.\u201d<br \/>\nAnd he added, \u201cThese are true words that come from God.\u201d<br \/>\nRevelation 19:6-9<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cI, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches.<br \/>\nI am both the source of David and the Heir to his throne.<br \/>\nI am the Bright Morning Star.\u201d<br \/>\nThe Spirit and the bride say, \u201cCome.\u201d<br \/>\nLet anyone who hears this say, \u201cCome.\u201d<br \/>\nLet anyone who is thirsty come.<br \/>\nLet anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.<br \/>\nRevelation 22:16-17<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">He Who is the Faithful Witness to all these things says, \u201cYes, I am coming soon!\u201d<br \/>\nAmen! Come, Lord Jesus!<br \/>\nMay the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God\u2019s holy people.<br \/>\nRevelations 22:20-21<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cDon\u2019t let your hearts be troubled.
