Search me, O God, and know my heart, <\/span>
\ntest me and know my anxious thoughts, <\/span>
\nsee if there is any offensive way in me <\/span>
\nand lead me in the way everlasting.<\/span>
\nPsalms 139: 23-24<\/span><\/p>\n

*\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 *<\/span><\/p>\n

‘Search me, O God’<\/em>. \u00a0This is an appropriate prayer for every believer. \u00a0Not only must we hate unrighteousness in the world but we must also be aware that there may be something in us that grieves God. \u00a0We should be willing to ask God to put us through any test that would further His work of sanctification in us. \u00a0If anything offensive is found, we must turn from it and repent.<\/p>\n

We cannot hide any<\/em>thing from God for He is the All-Knowing God.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I, the Lord, search the heart and examine the mind
\nto reward a man according to his conduct,
\naccording to what his deeds deserve.
\nJeremiah 17:10<\/p>\n

As believers, whatever we are doing whether in words or deeds or enjoy, we should be asking ourselves the following questions:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Can it be done to Gods glory?
\n\u2022 Can it be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, asking His blessing on the activity?
\n\u2022 Can it be done whilst sincerely giving thanks to God?
\n\u2022 Is it a Christ like action?
\n\u2022 Will it hinder or weaken my witness for Christ?
\n\u2022 Will it weaken my desire for spiritual things?<\/p>\n

Why ask these questions? It is because of Jeremiah 23:24:<\/p>\n

‘Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?’ declares the Lord. ‘Do not I fill heaven and earth?’ declares the Lord.<\/p>\n

Our God sees every<\/em><\/strong>thing.<\/span><\/p>\n

At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps
\nand punish those who are complacent
\nwho are like wine left on its dregs,\u00a0who think
\n\u201cThe Lord will do nothing either good or bad.\u201d
\nZepheniah 1:12<\/p>\n

Though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel
\nthere I will hunt them down and seize them.
\nThough they hide from Me at the bottom of the sea
\nthere I will command the serpent to bite them.
\nAmos 9:3<\/p>\n

This we should know: we cannot hide any<\/em><\/strong>thing from the eyes of God.<\/span><\/p>\n

And He who searches our heart knows the mind of the Spirit
\nbecause the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. Romans 8:27<\/p>\n

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for the grace that enables us to do Your work. \u00a0No one is like unto You, Father. \u00a0Be glorified. \u00a0Search our hearts, dear Lord, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. \u00a0 This we pray in the name of Jesus.
