yes?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">But, just like David, there are days when we are feeling so very poor and needy&#8230; days when it takes effort, sometimes great effort, to continue to praise. \u00a0Days when our praises are not as abundant as our crying out to God for His help.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"chapter-3\"><span class=\"text Ps-142-1\">I cry aloud with my voice to the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>;<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Ps-142-1\">I make supplication with my voice to the <span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>.<br \/>\n<\/span>I cried out to You, O <span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>;<br \/>\nI said, \u201cYou are my Refuge,<br \/>\nMy portion in the land of the living.<br \/>\n<span class=\"text Ps-142-6\">Give attention to my cry, f<\/span><span class=\"text Ps-142-6\">or I am brought very low&#8230;<br \/>\n<\/span>Psalms 142:1, 5-6<\/p>\n<p>And our God&#8212;our gracious, compassionate, loving God&#8212;He is patient and forbearing with us. \u00a0And draws us to Himself&#8230;truly our help does come from the Lord!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Let all those that seek and require You rejoice and be glad in You;<br \/>\nlet such as love Your salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified!<br \/>\n[As for me] I am poor and needy, yet the Lord takes thought and plans for me.<br \/>\nYou are my Help and my Deliverer. O my God, do not tarry!<br \/>\nPsalms 40:16 and 17<\/p>\n<p>What a comfort to know the truth that the Lord DOES take thought and DOES have plans for us. \u00a0And yet, we doubt sometimes. \u00a0God knows this; He knows we struggle.\u00a0 He encourages and revives us with His promises.<\/p>\n<p align=\"CENTER\">For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord,<br \/>\nthoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil,<br \/>\nto give you hope in your final outcome.<br \/>\nThen you will call upon Me,<br \/>\nand you will come and pray to Me,<br \/>\nand I will hear and heed you.<br \/>\nThen you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity]<br \/>\nand find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.<br \/>\nI will be found by you, says the Lord&#8230;<br \/>\nJeremiah 29:11-14<\/p>\n<p>These are such sustaining promises made to you and me by our Faithful, Trustworthy God.\u00a0 Have you ever considered memorizing God\u2019s promises?\u00a0 What an incredible weapon to have at your disposal\u2014the Word(s) of God that He is faithful to bring to pass! \u00a0Any (or all!) of these passages that we have considered today would be wonderful to have at the ready in your memory&#8230;for those times when you are feeling poor and needy.<\/p>\n<p>I love the words of this passionate song&#8230;they remind me of this Scripture:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"text Ps-121-1\">I lift up my eyes to the mountains\u2014<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Ps-121-1\">where does my help come from?<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"en-NIV-16084\" class=\"text Ps-121-2\">My help comes from the <span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>,<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Ps-121-2\">the Maker of heaven and earth.<br \/>\nPsalms 121:1 and 2<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>And so, friend, I ask you,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Do you seek Him and require Him?<br \/>\nIf so&#8230;then rejoice and be glad in Him!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Do you love His salvation and are waiting expectantly for Jesus&#8217; return?<br \/>\n&#8230;Then say, \u2018The Lord be magnified!\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">*\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 *<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Oh, Lord, we totally and completely recognize our great need for You!\u00a0 And we know, we <em>absolutely<\/em> know, that You are our Help and our Deliverer!\u00a0 Thank You, Lord, for the comfort of these promises!
