\u00a0Listen\u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She had heard the reports concerning Jesus, and she came up behind Him in the throng and touched His garment, \u00a0for she kept saying, \u00a0\u2018If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health.\u2019 \u00a0And immediately her flow of blood was dried up at the source, \u00a0and [suddenly] she felt in her body that she was healed of her [distressing] ailment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">verses 27-29<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>There is a pivotal point here: she believed\u2014<em>she had <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>faith<\/strong><\/span><\/em>\u2014that if she could just get close enough to simply touch Jesus\u2019 clothing, she would be healed. \u00a0Remember she \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>kept<\/em> sayin<\/span>g, \u2018If I <em>only touch<\/em> His garments, I <em>shall be<\/em> restored to health.\u2019\u201d \u00a0And she took the action necessary.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Having \u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>faith<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>requires action.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As I think about this scenario, it seems to me there were a number of strong deterrents standing in her way.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The crowd<\/strong><br \/>\nverse 24 tells us, \u201c\u2026a large crowd was following Him and pressing in on Him\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Her own physical frailty<\/strong><br \/>\nverses 25 and 26 say she \u201c\u2026had been subject to bleeding for twelve years\u2026had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and\u2026instead of getting better she grew worse\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>The social stigma of a woman touching a strange man in public<\/strong><br \/>\nVerse 33 relates, \u201cBut the woman\u2026though alarmed and frightened and trembling, fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In spite of these things she took action because she believed \u201c\u2026the reports she had heard about Jesus\u2026\u201d. \u00a0 Sisters, put yourself \u00a0in her sandals\u2026would you (would I?) have had the courage, the fortitude, the <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>faith<\/em><\/span> to do what she did? \u00a0<em>I do believe we could\u2026we would. \u00a0<\/em> <strong><em>I do believe we do.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Throughout our lives, we find ourselves experiencing similar circumstances and hard times. Right now, today, I know some of you are living through difficult, demanding, hard situations. Whether they are health-related (like this woman), or difficulties in relationships, or financial problems, or a myriad of other troubles\u2026we need to <em><strong>have faith<\/strong><\/em> that God will take care of whatever might be our need. \u00a0Our faith is based on our knowledge of His promises in His Word.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u2026So <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>faith <\/em><\/span>comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.<br \/>\nRomans 10:17<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">So that your <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>faith<\/em><\/span> might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.<br \/>\n1 Corinthians 2:5<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Now <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">faith<\/span> <\/em>is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.<br \/>\nHebrews 11:1<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And without <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>faith<\/em> <\/span>it is impossible to please Him,<br \/>\nfor whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists<br \/>\nand that He rewards those who seek Him.<br \/>\nVerse 6<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">We live by <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>faith<\/em><\/span>, not by sight.<br \/>\n2 Corinthians 5:7<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Grace and peace be multiplied unto you<br \/>\nthrough the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.<br \/>\nAccording as His divine power hath given unto us all things<br \/>\nthat pertain unto life and godliness,<br \/>\nthrough the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue:<br \/>\nWhereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:<br \/>\nthat by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature\u2026\u201d<br \/>\n2 Peter 2:1-4<\/p>\n<p>May we keep all these things in mind as we have faith in the Almighty God Who provides\u2014Jehovah-Jireh.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>When we feel weak, may we ask for \u2018<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>strength to be faithful<\/em><\/span>.\u2019<\/li>\n<li>When we are weary, may we ask for \u2018<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>grace to go on<\/em><\/span>.\u2019<\/li>\n<li>When we are anxious, may we ask for \u2018<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>peace when we\u2019re torn<\/em><\/span>.\u2019<\/li>\n<li>When we can\u2019t see the way out or through or around or beyond, may we ask for \u2018<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>hearts to find hope<\/em><\/span>.\u2019<\/li>\n<li>When we feel we have nothing left, may we ask for \u2018<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>faith to be strong<\/em><\/span>.\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We must always remember that there is no need we will ever have that He is not already aware of. \u00a0He is the Eternal God our <em>faith to be strong\u2026give us strength to be faithful\u2026give us grace to go on\u2026give us peace when we\u2019re torn\u2026give us hearts to find hope<\/em>. \u00a0We thank You, now in
