{"id":27389,"date":"2015-08-25T00:30:38","date_gmt":"2015-08-25T04:30:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/?p=27389"},"modified":"2015-08-24T23:23:30","modified_gmt":"2015-08-25T03:23:30","slug":"homemade-buttermilk-ranch-dressing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/2015\/08\/25\/homemade-buttermilk-ranch-dressing\/","title":{"rendered":"Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dressing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It has been quite some time since a packet of that kind of famous &#8216;Ranch Dressing and Dip Mix&#8217; has been in my pantry! \u00a0We have been pursuing this <em>healthy but oh-so-yummy<\/em> POV for about 3 years now. \u00a0But it took a little while &#8217;til I realized that there were quite a few additives in that little packet. \u00a0(Have you looked at the list of ingredients? \u00a0I suggest you do.) \u00a0Nowadays I read the ingredient list as well as the nutrition label on every food item I purchase.<\/p>\n<p>However, there is one person in our little household of 2 who simply loves Ranch Dressing. \u00a0He enjoys it on salad, of course, but also as a dip&#8230;and as a baked potato topping and as a spread on deli sandwiches. \u00a0So I continued to try to find (and purchase!) bottles of prepared dressing that were &#8220;better.&#8221; \u00a0But I have only found 2 that are on the &#8216;healthier&#8217; end&#8230;and they are so expensive! \u00a0So I did a tiny bit of research&#8230;really less than an hour or so&#8230;and found that, for less $ and hardly any time, I could mix up a batch that IS <em>healthy but oh-so-yummy<\/em>! \u00a0happy me&#8230;happy hubby!<\/p>\n<p>I suggest you give this a try! \u00a0Three\u00a0tablespoons of this mix = 1 packet of store-bought \u201cranch dressing\u201d seasoning mix. \u00a0 Also,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.babble.com\/best-recipes\/20-things-to-do-with-a-packet-of-ranch-dressing-mix\/\" target=\"_blank\">click here for a great list of ideas<\/a>\/recipes using Ranch Dressing\/Dip!<\/p>\n<p>Down below is a recipe using this mix to make Avocado Ranch dressing&#8230;really, really delicious! \u00a0And made with only two tablespoons of mayo (or, as I make it, with NO mayo)!
