\nA stronghold in times of trouble; <\/span>
\nAnd those who know Your name will put their trust in You. <\/span>
\nFor You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. <\/span>
\nPsalms 9:9-10<\/span><\/p>\n

*\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 *<\/span><\/p>\n

This week, here on the Seeking Him<\/em><\/strong> devotional blog, we have been focused on the Truth that our wonderful God and Lord is our Stronghold and never forsakes those (us!) who seek Him. \u00a0Our devotional writers have shared these promises given in this week\u2019s passage through the devotionals they have written. \u00a0Here are a few of their thoughts\u2026.<\/p>\n

In Blessings Are Better,<\/em> Ahmee<\/span><\/strong> shared a really good perspective….<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a thought: instead of asking God to give you money, why not ask Him to show you how to biblically manage your money so that you are better equipped to avoid money shortage situations. \u00a0Here\u2019s another thought: instead of asking God for a better job, why not ask Him to show you how to appreciate the one you have. \u00a0My pastor told us that miracles are nice, but blessings are better. \u00a0At first I didn\u2019t get it, but he explained that miracles go against natural happenings. \u00a0You know\u2026the impossible. \u00a0Blessings go with natural happenings, i.e., blessed with a promotion for your great work or money in savings because you managed it correctly.<\/p>\n

So, are you asking God to do all the work? Or are you willing to do your part? <\/em>
\nGod loves to help<\/span>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In God’s Promises<\/em>, Ann<\/span><\/strong> reminded us of the promises made to those who seek God….<\/p>\n

Indeed, those who seek the Lord will never be forsaken; that is the promise of God to us. \u00a0He also said \u201cSeek Ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all these things shall be added unto You\u201d…What is it to seek<\/strong> the Lord<\/em>? \u00a0Seeking the Lord<\/em> means seeking His presence\u2026having access to Him. \u00a0The Bible repeatedly calls us to seek the Lord and to seek His presence continually.<\/p>\n

Now set Your mind and heart to seek the Lord your God.
\n1 Chronicles 22:19<\/p>\n

God has made these promises to those who seek Him:
\n\u2022 Deuteronomy 4:29 \u00a0But if from there You seek the Lord your God, you will find Him if you look for Him with all Your heart and with all your soul.
\n\u2022 2 Chronicles 7:14 \u00a0 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
\n\u2022 Proverbs 8:17 \u00a0 I love those who love Me and those who seek Me find Me\u2026.
\n\u2022 Luke 11:9 \u00a0 So I say unto you, Ask and it will be given to you, seek you shall find, knock and the door will be opened to you.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In Shelter In God<\/em>, Tina<\/span><\/strong> encouraged us to remember that God is our Refuge and Shelter….<\/p>\n

\u00a0Shelter<\/span><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/strong> –
\n1: a structure that covers or protects people or things
\n2: a place that provides food and protection for people or animals that need assistance
\n3: a place to live<\/span><\/p>\n

Refuge<\/em><\/span> \u00a0<\/strong>–
\n1: shelter or protection from danger or trouble
\n2: a place that provides shelter or protection<\/span><\/p>\n

For those who have grown up in a normal household, you probably have a healthy reality of what a home should be\u2014calm, peaceful, neat, well-groomed\u2026both inside and out. At least I thought this was so. \u00a0Growing up for me was not<\/em> <\/strong>this way… \u00a0I learned life was not always fair. But God always provided a way.<\/p>\n

I had choices to make: I could either live thinking about what had been taken away from me\u2026or I could give them to God and know He would be faithful to restore them back to me. \u00a0So I made those choices, everyday, to live (and still do). \u00a0I do not always succeed but I do my best. \u00a0God is my Shelter<\/strong> <\/span>and my Refuge<\/span><\/strong>.<\/em> \u00a0He is the one I am learning to run to for all things. Not to others, but to God first.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
