but deliver us from evil.<br \/>\nLuke 11:1ff<\/p>\n<p class=\"chapter-2\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Such a simple prayer (thank You, Lord&#8230;You know we are really very simple beings!) yet full of deep, foundational truths. \u00a0As I sang along to this song, I thought about how Jesus was the One Who brought God&#8217;s Kingdom to the earth&#8230;and will be the One Who, when He returns as Lord of lords and King of Kings, will fully and completely&#8212;forEVER and EVER&#8212;establish God&#8217;s Kingdom here on earth&#8230;as it is now in Heaven. \u00a0Glory! \u00a0HalleluJAH! \u00a0Praise You, Jesus! \u00a0Thank You, Father!<\/p>\n<p class=\"chapter-2\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The prophet Jeremiah spoke the prophecy of Jesus&#8217; first coming to the earth:<\/p>\n<p class=\"chapter-2\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span id=\"en-NASB-19490\" class=\"text Jer-23-5\">&#8220;Behold, the<i>\u00a0<\/i>days are coming,\u201d declares the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>,<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Jer-23-5\">\u201cWhen I will raise up for David a righteous Branch;<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Jer-23-5\">And He will reign as king and act wisely<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Jer-23-5\">And do justice and righteousness in the land.<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"en-NASB-19491\" class=\"text Jer-23-6\">In His days Judah will be saved,<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Jer-23-6\">And Israel will dwell securely;<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Jer-23-6\">And this is His name by which He will be called,<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"text Jer-23-6\">&#8216;The <span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span> our righteousness&#8217; &#8221;<br \/>\nJeremiah 20:5 and 6<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"chapter-2\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Daniel also spoke prophetically of the Kingdom to come:<\/p>\n<p class=\"chapter-2\" style=\"text-align: center;\">But the saints of the Most High shall receive the Kingdom,<br \/>\nand possess the Kingdom forever, even forever and ever.<br \/>\nThen the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven,<br \/>\nShall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High.<br \/>\nHis Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.<br \/>\nDaniel 7:18, 27<\/p>\n<p class=\"chapter-2\" style=\"text-align: left;\">When God sent Gabriel to Mary, the angel spoke these words about Jesus and His Kingdom:<\/p>\n<p class=\"chapter-2\" style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8220;&#8230;He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High;<br \/>\nand the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David;<br \/>\n<span class=\"highl\">and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever,<br \/>\nand His Kingdom will have no end.&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\nLuke 1:32 and 33<\/p>\n<p class=\"chapter-2\" style=\"text-align: left;\">And much was told to John in the vision given to him (the Book of Revelation), including this passage among many, many others:<\/p>\n<p class=\"chapter-2\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"text Rev-21-1\">Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth;<br \/>\nfor the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.<br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"en-NASB-31057\" class=\"text Rev-21-2\">And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,<br \/>\nmade ready as a bride adorned for her husband.<br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"en-NASB-31058\" class=\"text Rev-21-3\">And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying,<br \/>\n\u201cBehold, the tabernacle of God is among men,<br \/>\nand He will dwell among them,<br \/>\nand they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them&#8230;&#8221;<br \/>\nRevelations 21:1-3<\/span><\/p>\n<p>These truths are such comfort and encouragement to us as we live in this dark, and increasingly darker, world. \u00a0But we must remember to pray&#8230;daily&#8230;as Jesus instructed. \u00a0And we must keep our hearts set toward God as we anticipate Jesus&#8217; return and His everlasting Kingdom!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">\u00a0*\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 *<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Sovereign God,<\/p>\n<p>Thy cause, not my own, engages my heart,<br \/>\nand I appeal to Thee with greatest freedom<br \/>\nto set up Thy Kingdom in every place<br \/>\nwhere Satan reigns;<br \/>\nGlorify Thyself and I shall rejoice,<br \/>\nfor to bring honour to Thy name is my sole desire.<br \/>\nI adore thee that Thou art God,<br \/>\nand long that others should know it, feel it,<br \/>\nand rejoice in it.<br \/>\nO that all men might love and praise Thee,<br \/>\nthat thou mightest have all glory<br \/>\nfrom the intelligent world!<br \/>\nLet sinners be brought to Thee for Thy dear name!<br \/>\nTo the eye of reason everything respecting<br \/>\nthe conversion of others is as dark as midnight,<br \/>\nBut Thou canst accomplish great things;<br \/>\nthe cause is Thine,<br \/>\nand it is to Thy glory that men should be saved.<br \/>\nLord, use me as Thou wilt,<br \/>\ndo with me what Thou wilt;<br \/>\nbut, O, promote thy cause,<br \/>\nlet Thy kingdom come,<br \/>\nlet Thy blessed interest be advanced<br \/>\nin this world!<br \/>\nO do Thou bring in great numbers to Jesus!<br \/>\nlet me see that glorious day,<br \/>\nand give me to grasp for multitudes of souls;<br \/>\nlet me be willing to die to that end;<br \/>\nand while I live let me labour for Thee<br \/>\nto the utmost of my strength,<br \/>\nspending time profitably in this work,<br \/>\nboth in health and in weakness.<br \/>\nIt is Thy cause and Kingdom I long for,<br \/>\nnot my own.<br \/>\nO, answer Thou my request!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">a prayer from<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/s\/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_16?url=search-alias%3Daps&amp;field-keywords=valley+of+vision+puritan+prayers&amp;sprefix=valley+of+vision%2Cfashion%2C159\" target=\"_blank\"> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Valley Of Vision<\/em><\/span><\/a>: A Collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotions &#8211;
