\u00a0We have our Lord&#8217;s example&#8230;even He did not seek to bring glory to Himself! \u00a0Jesus lived His life on this earth to bring glory to His Father.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Jesus replied, \u201cIf I <strong>glorify<\/strong> myself, my glory means nothing.<br \/>\nMy Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies Me.<br \/>\nJohn 8:54<\/p>\n<p>Jesus also taught His followers that they, too, could <strong>glorify<\/strong> God.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">You are the salt of the earth.<br \/>\nBut if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?\u00a0 It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.<br \/>\nYou are the light of the world.<br \/>\nA town built on a hill cannot be hidden.<br \/>\nNeither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.<br \/>\nInstead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.<br \/>\nIn the same way, let your light shine before others,<br \/>\nthat they may see your good deeds and <strong>glorify<\/strong> your Father in heaven.<br \/>\nMatthew 5:14-16<\/p>\n<p>Just like you, I\u00a0so yearn for my walk in this world to bring attention\u2014to bring glory\u2014to the Great I AM!\u00a0 My prayer every day is that others will see Jesus in me, and that anything good or righteous I might do will <strong>glorify<\/strong> the God that I love.\u00a0 As His child, everywhere I go He is with me.\u00a0 But not always do my actions {or my words} prove that I am a child of God.<\/p>\n<p>God will be <strong>glorified<\/strong> through our lives in the big, and the small, things as we live and breathe with His character within us.\u00a0 By His grace we have been enabled to love with His love\u2026to show mercy as He shows mercy\u2026to forgive\u2026to give grace.<\/p>\n<p>These are things that bring Him honor and glorify Him:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>when a wife chooses to speak words that respect her husband<\/li>\n<li>when we sit with our children and grandchildren reading to them out of their little Bible story books teaching them about their heavenly Father<\/li>\n<li>when we go on a missions trip to a far-away\u00a0country (or a nearby town!) and share the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus with young women who have lived with no hope<\/li>\n<li>when we take a meal to neighbors\u00a0who have just added a new baby to their family<\/li>\n<li>when we take part in our church\u2019s community-wide VBS program and minister to a little girl who has never heard about Jesus until this week<\/li>\n<li>when we are in a\u00a0long line at the grocery store and ask the mom with a cart overflowing with food AND 3 children to get in line ahead of us<\/li>\n<li>when we go sit on the porch to chat (and listen) with an elderly neighbor whose family rarely comes to visit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Comic Sans MS', sans-serif;\">And so I ask\u2026<br \/>\ntoday will Almighty God, the Great I AM,<br \/>\nbe glorified <b><i>with <\/i><\/b><i><\/i>you or <b><i>without <\/i><\/b><i><\/i>you?
