\nRemember Your mercy, O Lord, and Your steadfast love <\/span>
\nFor they have been from old. <\/span>
\nRemember not the sins from my youth or my transgressions <\/span>
\nAccording to your steadfast love, <\/span>
\nRemember me for the sake of Your goodness, O Lord!<\/span>
\nPsalms 25:6-7<\/span><\/p>\n

This is David’s prayer. \u00a0He had searched in his heart and saw that there was no one who could help him at that hour\u2014only Sovereign God. He cried out for remembrance.<\/p>\n

To be remembered<\/em> is ‘to be thought of.’ \u00a0And you can only remember someone you have had interaction with at one time or the other. \u00a0For one to remember you it means there has been a relationship between the two of you. \u00a0Why did David call on God to remember him? \u00a0David went to a Someone he was comfortable with trusting.<\/p>\n

Even in this physical world we live in, sometimes you meet someone who says they know you, but you don\u2019t quite remember them…even when they try to remind you of where the two of you met. \u00a0Perhaps you feel confused. \u00a0This is the same way with the spiritual realm. \u00a0God cannot remember you if you have never been in a relationship with Him. \u00a0He will only remember you if you have interacted with Him and that your relationship is strong and operating at the highest level. \u00a0David took courage to call for remembrance for he knew His Friend, God, would come to his rescue.<\/p>\n

How many of us can boldly come to God today asking Him to remember us without feeling perhaps guilty in one way or another because of unconfessed sin or repeated sins? \u00a0Sins hinder us from the hand of God, brethren.<\/p>\n

Nehemiah also cried unto God for remembrance.<\/p>\n

Remember me, O my God, concerning this,
\nand wipe not out my good deeds that I have done
\nfor the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.
\nNehemiah 13:14<\/p>\n

We also see David in Psalm 106:4 calling on God for remembrance.<\/p>\n

Remember me, O Lord, with the favor Thou beareth unto thy people,
\nO visit me with Thy salvation.<\/p>\n

O Lord, Thou knowest: remember me, and visit me,
\nand revenge me of my persecutors;
\ntake me not away in Thy longsuffering:
\nknow that for Thy sake I have suffered rebuke.
\nJeremiah 15:15<\/p>\n

And he said unto Jesus \u201cLord, remember me when Thou comest into Thy kingdom.\u201d
\nLuke 23:42<\/p>\n

Brethren, for us to be remembered of God it means we are in a good relationship with Him. \u00a0Let us work out our relationship with God. \u00a0We need Him to remember us in all areas of our lives.<\/p>\n

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for You are the Lord…full of steadfast love. \u00a0Great is Thy faithfulness. \u00a0We need Your grace, Lord, to be in good relationship with You. \u00a0Help us in our shortfalls, build us with Your love, create in us a clean heart, Lord. \u00a0This we ask in Jesus\u2019 name, Amen!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
