lessons seem to multiply. \u00a0Sermons are preached, books are written, songs are created to help us discover and learn and re-learn these lessons. \u00a0One of these lessons that is so prominent in my life is surrender. \u00a0Whether I have lost my car keys and I hear the soft whisper of surrender, \u2018Stop looking\u2019&#8230;at that moment I pray for God&#8217;s guidance to help find them. \u00a0Or whether I am dealing with a family crisis and God says \u2018Surrender, give it to Me\u2019. \u00a0Big or small, this message of surrender surrounds our lives.<\/p>\n<p>Listening to the words of this song, the idea of surrender takes on new meaning. \u00a0It shows how, despite reaching certain heights in our life, we can feel so low. \u00a0And how at our lowest points\u2014when we truly make the decision to surrender\u2014we are higher than we will ever be. \u00a0\u201c<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>I touch the sky when my knees hit the ground<\/em><\/span>\u201d&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Surrender is not easy. \u00a0Relinquishing control is not easy. \u00a0But it is necessary. \u00a0We can live life and go through the motions, trying to manage every aspect of our lives. \u00a0But the truth is we are not designed to do that. \u00a0We are not designed to carry it all&#8230;all of the time. \u00a0We will not know or understand what true freedom is, or what truly living is, until we surrender to God.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Surrendering all of ourselves\u2014our hearts, our minds, our families, our entire lives. \u00a0We will find our lives when we lay them down.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">*\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0
