left;\">Today, here in the United States, Christians nation-wide come together in unity without any concern for denomination to stand heart-to-heart before our God and intercede on our nation&#8217;s behalf. \u00a0Now, more than ever, we must daily put on the armor that God has provided.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This is why you must take up the full armor of God,<br \/>\nso that you may be able to resist\u00a0in the evil day,<br \/>\nand having prepared everything, to take your stand.<br \/>\nStand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist,<br \/>\nrighteousness like armor on your chest,<br \/>\nand your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace.<br \/>\nIn every situation take the shield of faith,<br \/>\nand with it you will be able\u00a0to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.<br \/>\nTake the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God\u2019s word.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-align: center;\">Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request,<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"text-align: center;\">and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Ephesians 6:14-18<\/p>\n<p>We are encouraged, in this passage, to put the Armor of God on each day. \u00a0We are reminded that the pieces of God&#8217;s armor are TRUTH, RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE, FAITH, and SALVATION\u2014a strong foundation on which to take our stand. \u00a0And we see that, clothed with this Armor of God, we are equipped and enabled to stand, resisting all the tactics and wiles of the enemy.<\/p>\n<p>Now, consider this\u2026. We garb ourselves in this protective suit of armor. \u00a0We gather up our shield of faith. \u00a0We put on the helmet of salvation. \u00a0We take up the sword of the Spirit.\u00a0 One would think that we are ready to go, right? \u00a0But then we are told to \u201c<em><strong>pray at all times.<\/strong><\/em>\u201d \u00a0Truly prayer is the final piece of the Armor of God&#8212;the item that links all the pieces together.\u00a0 It reminds me of a football player\u2026outfitted with all those pieces of his uniform (pads, helmet, cleats, etc.) that are designed to protect him\u2026ready to head out of the locker room to battle his \u2018enemy\u2019\u2014the other team.\u00a0 And the coach says, \u2018Take a knee.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>This final piece\u2014prayer\u2014is not a half-hearted whisper. \u00a0Rather, prayer is spoken with passion, with faith, with \u2018strong purpose and perseverance.\u2019 \u00a0Prayer is uttered with humility and wholeheartedness to the One Who hears our prayers <em>and<\/em> answers our prayers.<\/p>\n<p>So often when the Scriptures communicate to us on the matter of prayer, the words used are compelling.\u00a0 As you read these next few verses see which words jump out at you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Do not fret <i>or<\/i> have any anxiety about anything,<br \/>\nbut in every circumstance <i>and<\/i> in everything,<br \/>\nby prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving,<br \/>\ncontinue to make your wants known to God.<br \/>\nPhilippians 4:6<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.<br \/>\nColossians 4:2<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Rejoice <i>and<\/i> exult in hope;<br \/>\nbe steadfast and patient in suffering <i>and<\/i> tribulation;<br \/>\nbe constant in prayer.<br \/>\nRomans 12:12<\/p>\n<p>Which words did you find grabbed your attention?
