Smith<br \/>\nWriter: Mia Fieldes<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"> *\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 * <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">We certainly can sense there is turmoil and strife in the world.<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice.<br \/>\nThey are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness.<br \/>\nThey are gossips&#8230;.<br \/>\nRomans 1:29<\/p>\n<p>God knew\u00a0there would be trouble in our lives. \u00a0Some because of our choices and some because of the world. \u00a0It is how we meet those challenges, lifting His name in all situations, that sets us apart from the world. \u00a0He will not always remove the testing, but He will walk with us through it. \u00a0If God can be with David all the while, He will surely be with us.<\/p>\n<p>We need to search our hearts to see where we might doubt Him&#8212;where our faith is weakest. \u00a0We must ask God to help us strengthen it, to help us grow our faith, and to trust more and more. \u00a0David sometimes wondered where God was; and even the prophets did, too.<\/p>\n<p>Look at Elijah&#8230;. \u00a0With God, he had just destroyed all of the prophets of Baal but upon hearing that Jezebel was going to kill him, he was afraid. But isn&#8217;t that the man in us&#8212;our human side? To forget what God had just done&#8230;? \u00a0(How quickly we forget when our peace is threatened?) \u00a0God knew that Elijah was tired and needed rest and reassurance. \u00a0After receiving it, Elijah&#8217;s faith was restored and God told him what would happen in the future (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20kings%2019&amp;version=NASB;ESV;MSG;NIV;AMP\" target=\"_blank\">see 1 Kings 19<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">As God was faithful in restoring Elijah,<br \/>\nhow much more will He restore us?<\/h4>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span id=\"en-ESV-30455\" class=\"text 1Pet-5-6\">Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God<br \/>\nso that at the proper time He may exalt you,<\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"en-ESV-30456\" class=\"text 1Pet-5-7\">casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.<br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-30457\" class=\"text 1Pet-5-8\">Be sober-minded;
