How to be in the world<\/em> but not<\/span> of the world<\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0We strive everyday to live in a fallen world…surrounded by hate, mistrust, deception, malice, negative thoughts, and backbiting. \u00a0We are guilty of it no matter how hard we may try to remove ourselves from it.<\/p>\n

The question is, how<\/strong><\/em> do we live\u00a0in<\/em><\/span> the world but not<\/span> of<\/span> the world ?
\nBy inviting the Holy Spirit to live in<\/em> us<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When we ask Jesus to come and live in us, we invite God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit to take up residence in us and assist us in our daily living. \u00a0God directs them and grants to each what is needed at the appropriate time. \u00a0The Holy Spirit helps us to determine if what we are doing is honoring God.<\/p>\n

When we are tested, we are put in situations that would determine whether we believe it is God’s ability to help us in a situation or if we trust our own abilities. \u00a0I recently heard someone state that our first place to run is supposed to be God (not to our friends). We all need our quiet time with God and to be still and reflect. To allow Him to be greater in us,<\/strong> by seeking His will before our own and that of man.<\/p>\n

God always wants our best. \u00a0He puts us in hard situations to determine how we will react. \u00a0Will be become angry, bitter, lashing out…or will we be patient and kind, waiting to see what is going on. \u00a0If we are being meek and humble, we can do what God asks of us.<\/p>\n

Father, give us the courage to seek You first before we do or say anything. \u00a0Let us have the discipline to control our thoughts and emotions. \u00a0We want to please You. \u00a0We want to be a light for others who are seeking something more in their lives. \u00a0Thank You for allowing us to be your children…your daughters. \u00a0In Jesus’ name, amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
