I have Jesus as my Savior and I will never be the same. Never underestimate the power of music, sweet friends!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust As I Am\u201d was written by Charlotte Elliot. \u00a0Her life was a testimony of patience and endurance in suffering\u2014physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She was ill in her 40\u2019s with pain that was often debilitating. \u00a0She felt useless to God until, \u00a0one night before a bazaar to benefit a school, she began to question everything. \u00a0She started thinking that maybe God was just an illusion of emotions\u2026 that maybe that\u2019s what spirituality is. \u00a0The next day, she felt her life questions must be met and conquered in the grace of God. \u00a0So there, she took a pen and paper and wrote for her own comfort, \u201cthe formula of her faith.\u201d \u00a0She then had it published in \u201cThe Invalid\u2019s Hymn Book.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For years now, \u201cJust As I Am\u201d has been sung as a hymn of invitation in church gatherings all over the U.S. and beyond. \u00a0But to me it is personal\u2014it\u2019s my salvation\u2014and it is where my relationship with my Lord began. \u00a0And so I wrote my own words of commitment:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>~Just as I am \u2013 not having to say or do anything, You died and shed Your blood for me, and that You would have us come to You, \u2013 O Lamb of God, yes, we come!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">~Just as I am \u2013 right now, rid my soul of this darkness and sin, even one. Your blood can cleanse it all \u2013 O Lamb of God, yes, we come!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">~Just as I am \u2013 though I am trudging through mud and trials. I have so many conflicts and sometimes I doubt You. I choose fear over faith sometimes \u2013 but You call and I come!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">~Just as I am \u2013 poor, wretched, blind. Yet You give sight, riches, blessings, and healing, both physically and spiritually and emotionally. Yet, all I need is You, in You I find complete healing, when I seek You, I find You \u2013 O Jesus, I come!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">~Just as I am \u2013 right where I am, You accept me, You receive me with open arms. I am welcomed, pardoned, cleansed and relieved!!! Because all Your promises are true and You always come through \u2013 O Lamb of God, I come!<\/p>\n<p>~Just as I am \u2013 Your love unknown has broken down every barrier, every one! Now to be Yours, yes Yours alone \u2013 O God, I come!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">~Just as I am \u2013 Your love is free. It stretches to the Heavens and there is no end to it, here for a season, then above \u2013 O Lamb of God, I come!!!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We come, on our knees, to Him and He receive us with open arms, always! \u00a0Where are you today? God knows and He cares; \u00a0and He loves you so much! \u00a0Run to Him and rest. \u00a0He is waiting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>* ~ * ~ <strong> \u2665<\/strong> \u00a0~ * ~ *<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Let us pray<\/strong>: \u00a0Dear God, this hymn in itself is our prayer. \u00a0Just as we are, without one plea, we thank You for shedding Your blood for us, so that we are free to live with You forever. \u00a0Thank You for breaking down the barriers for us.
