Many of you have gone on Spring Break or are anticipating taking a vacation this summer. \u00a0It is a time to refresh spirit, soul, and body. \u00a0Over the next couple of weeks, our faithful bloggers will be taking a \u2018spring break\u2019 from writing so that they can come back to us refreshed and freshly anointed. <\/span>
\nHowever, Girlfriends\u2019 Coffee Hour website won\u2019t \u2018go black\u2019! \u00a0We will be revisiting some of our favorite blogs and daily devotions which have blessed us in the past. \u00a0We pray that each of you, our faithful friends and readers, will continue to start your day meditating on the devotionals and songblogs, and be encouraged and blessed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s give each of our bloggers a big round of applause, a hug,

Throughout the Scriptures, there are many, many records of God fulfilling His promise to His people. \u00a0Whether it be to an individual, or a group of people, or all mankind\u2014God always keeps<\/strong> His promise.<\/em>\u00a0 I am so thankful to have these stories recorded in the Scriptures because they encourage and comfort us. \u00a0At any time, we can sit down with a bible and open up to one of numerous accounts. \u00a0One that I am always reminded of when thinking of God\u2019s promises fulfilled is the record of Abraham and Isaac climbing Mount Moriah\u2026remember? (Click here<\/a> to read the entire record.)<\/p>\n

As he walked toward Moriah with Isaac, Abraham must have felt conflicted\u2026and heartbroken beyond words\u2026. \u00a0Can you imagine? \u00a0How could God ask him to sacrifice this miracle child He had blessed him and Sarai with! \u00a0No doubt, he did not understand all that God was doing. \u00a0He didn\u2019t know he was illustrating for God\u2019s people for all time what faith and trust looked like.<\/p>\n

Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did
\nwhen he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions
\nwere working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.
\nAnd the Scripture was fulfilled that says, \u201cAbraham believed God,
\nand it was credited to him as righteousness,\u201d and he was called God\u2019s friend” (James 2:21\u201323).<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t know this provision for the sacrifice would foreshadow the sacrifice of God\u2019s only Son \u2014a Son who would not be spared because He was the provided Lamb.<\/p>\n

The next day John saw Jesus coming to him and said,
\nLook! There is the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world!
\nJohn 1:29<\/p>\n

He only knew that God had promised and that He surely knew what He was doing. He stood on his faith and belief that God could be trusted to keep His promise\u2014even if it appeared like the promise was going to die. And God proved himself faithful to Abraham.<\/p>\n

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac,
\nand he who had received the promises was offering up his only begotten son;
\nHe considered that God is able to raise people even from the dead,
\nfrom which he also received him back as a type.
\nHebrews 11:17, 19<\/p>\n

Jehovah \u2013 Jireh, our faithful Father, proves Himself faithful to us constantly. Even if it doesn\u2019t look like it right now, God will bring His promise to pass. We have hope through His Word. Trust Him.<\/p>\n

What particular promise has God has made to which you can confess,<\/p>\n

\u201cRemember Your word to Your servant,
