Many of you have gone on Spring Break or are anticipating taking a vacation this summer. \u00a0It is a time to refresh spirit, soul, and body. \u00a0Over the next couple of weeks, our faithful bloggers will be taking a \u2018spring break\u2019 from writing so that they can come back to us refreshed and freshly anointed. <\/span>
\nHowever, Girlfriends\u2019 Coffee Hour website won\u2019t \u2018go black\u2019! \u00a0We will be revisiting some of our favorite blogs and daily devotions which have blessed us in the past. \u00a0We pray that each of you, our faithful friends and readers, will continue to start your day meditating on the devotionals and songblogs, and be encouraged and blessed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s give each of our bloggers a big round of applause,

David is reminding God of a promise to make David\u2019s line to have a continuation on the throne. \u00a0God does not need reminding, but\u00a0sometimes we need<\/strong> the reassurance that God had not forgotten\u00a0us.<\/em>\u00a0 Doubt and sin creeps in trying to steal our promise. \u00a0We have to be ever so diligent to not allow those thoughts. \u00a0God wants us to know joy and to remember the promises He continues to fulfill today.<\/p>\n

Abraham was promised a son.<\/p>\n

On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying,
\n\u201cTo your offspring I give this land, from the river of Egypt
\nto the great river, the river Euphrates,\u201d
\nGenesis 15:18<\/p>\n

Isaac who was not born to Abraham and his wife Sarah until they \u00a0were very old. God wanted to provide a miracle and show \u00a0Abraham that God could be trusted. God also told Abraham that his children would be in captivity and brought out after four hundred years of that bondage.<\/p>\n

It was by faith that Moses\u2019 parents hid him for three months when he was born.
\nThey saw that God had given them an unusual child,
\nand they were not afraid to disobey the king\u2019s command.
\nHebrews 11:23<\/p>\n

When Moses was born God had a plan that he would lead the people of Israel out of captivity to the Promised Land. \u00a0Moses was raised in a life of luxury. \u00a0But he also was reminded of his heritage and had to flee from Egypt because of his desire to protect his people. \u00a0It was not his time to begin the deliverance. \u00a0God had plans to grow Moses into a shepherd. \u00a0He needed to become patient and humble.<\/p>\n

Ever feel like God puts you through a time of patience building? \u00a0I know I have had my share of those. \u00a0Because I am headstrong, rebellious, and stubborn. \u00a0I am sure God just shakes His head at me. \u00a0I try it on my own. \u00a0Then I realize I need to turn back to Him and let Him handle the heavy lifting. \u00a0I just have to be willing to follow His word.<\/p>\n

Father, help me follow Your direction. \u00a0Forgive me for doing my will and not seeking Yours. \u00a0Help me discern Your will for my life. \u00a0Give me the courage to follow what You lay on my heart. \u00a0I want to be a vessel You use to further Your kingdom here on earth. \u00a0Thank You for allowing me to call You Father<\/em>. \u00a0In Jesus\u2019 name, amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
