Finally, for the last several days I have had this verse stuck in my head:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201c<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>I&#8217;m coming back to the start<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em> Where You found me<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em> I&#8217;m coming back to Your heart<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em> Now I surrender<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em> Take me<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em> This is all I can bring<\/em><\/span>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ok, I may be slow at times, but even I could tell God was trying to make a point with all of this\u2014I need to go back to the start. \u00a0So I reread all the material from when I started my current fitness journey and decided to begin again. \u00a0To start applying the basics in diet and exercise, and stop trying all the crazy new things or current fads. \u00a0But that line from the song kept playing over and over in my head. \u201cI\u2019m going back to the start&#8230;.\u201d \u00a0Then I realized I needed to go back to the start in my relationship with God&#8230;back to the foot of the Cross.<\/p>\n<p>I was searching for anything that could help me regain control of my health and wellness but I was looking at worldly solutions. \u00a0At the same time I was seeking to deepen my relationship with God by doing multiple studies; and, again, doing none of them well. \u00a0I felt tired, weary of the struggle. \u00a0Nothing was working. \u00a0I was wearing myself out, physically and mentally. \u00a0Finally, I realized I needed to surrender. \u00a0Thank goodness God never gives up on us.<\/p>\n<p>This song is such a celebration of God\u2019s grace. \u00a0We come alive because of the grace He extends to us. Ephesians 2:1 &amp; 5 (NKJV) state:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins&#8230;<br \/>\n&#8230;even when we were dead in trespasses,<br \/>\nmade us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Christ wants us to feel alive in Him. \u00a0Not tired, not weary, not defeated\u2014ALIVE. \u00a0We have something to celebrate. \u00a0If I am struggling, I need to stop and ask myself \u00a0\u201cAm I living in Christ?\u201d \u00a0If I am, then, (as Philippians 4:13 tells us), I can do all things because Christ is my Strength. \u00a02nd Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV) reminds us \u201c&#8230;for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I know this to be true, yet I so easily forget and go back to striving on my own.
