Recorded in the Gospel of John, our Lord made seven statements referring to Himself as I AM<\/em><\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

I AM<\/strong> The Light of the World
\nI AM<\/strong> The Bread of Life
\nI AM<\/strong> The Door <\/em><\/span>
\nI AM<\/strong> The Good Shepherd
\nI AM<\/strong> The True Vine <\/em><\/span>
\nI AM<\/strong> The Way, The Truth, and The Life<\/em><\/span>
\nI AM<\/strong> The Resurrection and The Life<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Each week during this season of Lent, here on the Seeking Him<\/em> blog, we will be focusing our devotionals on a different aspect of Jesus\u2019 revelation of Himself as I AM<\/em><\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 The aim of Lent should be to prepare our hearts for the remembrance of Jesus\u2019 sacrifice\u2014His trial and torture, the Crucifixion and His death\u2026and above all, the celebration of His Resurrection from the dead. \u00a0We pray that this will be a great encouragement to each of you who read them. \u00a0And that all of us will consider the significance of Jesus\u2019 words and, through them, be helped as we remember and are thankful for all Jesus went through during the last few weeks of His life on this earth.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days.<\/span> Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles off;
\n<\/span>and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary,
\nto console them concerning their\u00a0<\/i>brother.
\n<\/span>Martha therefore, when she heard that Jesus was coming, went to meet Him,
\nbut Mary stayed at the house.
\n<\/span>Martha then said to Jesus, \u201cLord, if You had been here, \u00a0my brother would not have died.<\/span>\u00a0
\n<\/span><\/span>Even now I know that whatever You ask of God,
\nGod will give You.\u201d<\/span> Jesus said to her, \u201cYour brother will rise again.\u201d
\n<\/span><\/span>Martha said to Him, \u201cI know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.\u201d
\n<\/span>Jesus said to her, \u201cI AM the Resurrection and the Life;
\nhe who believes in Me will live even if he dies,
\n<\/span><\/span>and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.
\nDo you believe this?\u201d
\n<\/span><\/span>She said to Him, \u201cYes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ,
\nthe Son of God,\u00a0even<\/i> He who comes into the world.\u201d
