Recorded in the Gospel of John, our Lord made seven statements referring to Himself as I AM<\/em><\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

I AM<\/strong> The Light of the World
\nI AM<\/strong> The Bread of Life
\nI AM<\/strong> The Door <\/em><\/span>
\n I AM<\/strong> The Good Shepherd
\nI AM<\/strong> The True Vine <\/em><\/span>
\n I AM<\/strong> The Way, The Truth, and The Life<\/em><\/span>
\n I AM<\/strong> The Resurrection and The Life<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Each week during this season of Lent, here on the Seeking Him<\/em> blog, we will be focusing our devotionals on a different aspect of Jesus\u2019 revelation of Himself as I AM<\/em><\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 The aim of Lent should be to prepare our hearts for the remembrance of Jesus\u2019 sacrifice\u2014His trial and torture, the Crucifixion and His death\u2026and above all, the celebration of His Resurrection from the dead. \u00a0We pray that this will be a great encouragement to each of you who read them. \u00a0And that all of us will consider the significance of Jesus\u2019 words and, through them, be helped as we remember and are thankful for all Jesus went through during the last few weeks of His life on this earth.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jesus answered, \u201cI AM<\/strong> The Way and The Truth and The Life<\/span>.
\nNo one comes to the Father except through Me.
\nIf you really know Me, you will know My Father as well.
\nFrom now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.\u201d
\nJohn 14:6-7 NIV<\/p>\n

The topic this week reminds me of a song we used to sing in my Sunday school days, here are the lyrics.<\/p>\n

I am The Way and The Truth and The Life;
\nThat\u2019s what Jesus said<\/em><\/span>
\nWithout The Way there is no going,<\/em><\/span>
\nWithout The Truth there is no knowing,<\/em><\/span>
\nWithout The Life there is no growing,<\/em><\/span>
\nI am The Way and The Truth and The Life;
\nThat\u2019s what Jesus said<\/em><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Very true! \u00a0Without The Way<\/em>?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0 There is no going…where can you go if there is no way through? \u00a0We cannot go to the Father except through Jesus. \u00a0The Way give access to wherever we want to go. \u00a0Therefore Jesus is the True Access to the many blessings the Lord has in store for us. We need to accept that Jesus is the only access and that sure way to everything.<\/p>\n

Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand
\nand we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God
\nRomans 5:2<\/p>\n

Without The Truth<\/em>?<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Wow, just having Christ in us and us in Him we are assured of having knowledge of the truth of the great things—for Christ knows all. \u00a0For it means we know God, too!<\/p>\n

If you really know Me, you will know My Father as well.
\nFrom now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.\u201d
\nPhilip said, \u201cLord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.
\nJesus answered: \u201cDon\u2019t you know Me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time?
\nAnyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, \u2018Show us the Father\u2019?
\nDon\u2019t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me?
\nThe words I say to you I do not speak on My own authority.
\nRather, it is the Father, living in Me, who is doing His work.
\nJohn 14: 7-10 NIV<\/p>\n

Jesus is life. \u00a0Without The Life? \u00a0W<\/span><\/em><\/span>ell, \u00a0“no Jesus=no life”. \u00a0Accepting Him as the Lord and Savior gives us eternal life. \u00a0We thank God for giving us life through Christ Jesus. \u00a0Otherwise there was no one to pay for our sins if it was not for Christ.<\/p>\n

Lord, we thank You for giving us Christ Jesus to be our Way, our Truth, and our Life<\/span><\/em>. We are able to access abundant blessings through Him. We are able to know Your Word through Him. \u00a0And we have life through Him. \u00a0He is a blessing to our lives. \u00a0We pray for the grace to remain in Him and Him in us! \u00a0We pray in Jesus\u2019 name. \u00a0Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
