Recorded in the Gospel of John, our Lord made seven statements referring to Himself as I AM<\/em><\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

I AM<\/strong> The Light of the World
\nI AM<\/strong> The Bread of Life
\nI AM<\/strong> The Door <\/em><\/span>
\nI AM<\/strong> The Good Shepherd
\nI AM<\/strong> The True Vine <\/em><\/span>
\nI AM<\/strong> The Way, The Truth, and The Life<\/em><\/span>
\nI AM<\/strong> The Resurrection and The Life<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Each week during this season of Lent, here on the Seeking Him<\/em> blog, we will be focusing our devotionals on a different aspect of Jesus\u2019 revelation of Himself as I AM<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0 The aim of Lent should be to prepare our hearts for the remembrance of Jesus\u2019 sacrifice\u2014His trial and torture, the Crucifixion and His death\u2026and above all, the celebration of His Resurrection from the dead. \u00a0We pray that this will be a great encouragement to each of you who read them. \u00a0And that all of us will consider the significance of Jesus\u2019 words and, through them, be helped as we remember and are thankful for all Jesus went through during the last few weeks of His life on this earth.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

*\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 *\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, I AM the Gate for the sheep.” <\/span>
\nJohn 10:7<\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes I sit and wonder why a God as awesome as we serve would want to be in a relationship with me<\/em>…. What did I do that I should I should be so privileged to have a relationship with the Lord? \u00a0Why me? \u00a0Why us?<\/p>\n

The truth of it is that He chose us<\/em><\/span>. \u00a0So, how then did we enter into our relationship with the Lord? \u00a0Well, if you want to be picky, we all have different stories. \u00a0I myself came defeated, reluctant, and skeptical. \u00a0I was all out of options. \u00a0You may have experienced the same, or your story may be different. \u00a0However, with that being said…really<\/em><\/strong>…we all came to relationship with the Lord the same way.<\/p>\n

How could this be?!?! \u00a0Our stories are so different. \u00a0True, but there is something in common with all our stories\u2014we all said \u2018yes<\/strong>!\u2019 to Jesus.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

There is no other way. \u00a0So, before<\/strong> the yes, our stories are very different. After the yes, our stories are very different. It is even possible that during<\/strong> the yes, our stories are very different. \u00a0I, myself, experienced the most calming and thought-cleansing moment of my life! \u00a0Light shined into my world. \u00a0I did not know what would happen next, or what my life would look like, but somehow I knew I’d be okay.<\/p>\n

The point is, Jesus said that He is the Gate<\/span><\/em><\/strong> for the sheep. \u00a0Well, sisters (and brothers) we all walked through that same Gate! \u00a0Saying this makes me want to high-five each and every one of you. \u00a0We are \u2018in\u2019 because of our Savior. \u00a0Yay for us! What an awesome feeling it is to have walked through the Gate<\/span>. \u00a0Why not bring someone along?<\/p>\n

Oh, and be careful though! \u00a0Jesus said in John 10:10, that “The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”<\/p>\n

That which is of our Father gives life. <\/span>
\nThat which is of Satan brings destruction.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Lord, thank You for bring me to You. I am so grateful for Your provisions. Help us to be mindful of all that is around us and diligently be on the lookout for those that You would have us touch. Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
