Recorded in the Gospel of John, our Lord made seven statements referring to Himself as I AM<\/em><\/strong>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

I AM<\/strong> The Light of the World
\nI AM<\/strong> The Bread of Life
\nI AM<\/strong> The Door <\/em><\/span>
\nI AM<\/strong> The Good Shepherd
\nI AM<\/strong> The True Vine <\/em><\/span>
\nI AM<\/strong> The Way, The Truth, and The Life<\/em><\/span>
\nI AM<\/strong> The Resurrection and The Life<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Each week during this season of Lent, here on the Seeking Him<\/em> blog, we will be focusing our devotionals on a different aspect of Jesus\u2019 revelation of Himself as I AM<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0 The aim of Lent should be to prepare our hearts for the remembrance of Jesus\u2019 sacrifice\u2014His trial and torture, the Crucifixion and His death\u2026and above all, the celebration of His Resurrection from the dead. \u00a0We pray that this will be a great encouragement to each of you who read them. \u00a0And that all of us will consider the significance of Jesus\u2019 words and, through them, be helped as we remember and are thankful for all Jesus went through during the last few weeks of His life on this earth.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

*\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 *\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So Jesus said again, Truly I say to you, I AM the Door of the sheep.<\/span>
\nAll who came before me are thieves and outlaws:
\nbut the sheep did not give ear to them.
\nI AM the Door: if any man goes in through Me
\nhe will have salvation, and will go in and go out, and will get food.
\nThe thief comes only to take the sheep and to put them to death:
\nhe comes for their destruction:
\nI have come so that they may have life and have it in greater measure.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span>John 10:7-10 BBE<\/span><\/p>\n

Thief<\/em> –\u00a0a<\/span> person<\/span> who<\/span> steals,<\/span> especially<\/span> secretly<\/span> or<\/span> without<\/span> open<\/span> force;<\/span> one\u00a0<\/span>guilty<\/span> of<\/span> theft<\/span> or<\/span> larceny. \u00a0Doesn’t that sound like Satan? \u00a0Think about it…he steals our joy when we relive the lies people have spoken to us from our past or are currently speaking. \u00a0Satan secretly tells us we are not worthy of God’s love and forgiveness, when it is there for us to embrace and make our own.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When we accept Jesus into our hearts, He makes us new from the inside out. \u00a0He lifts us up out of the pit and builds us up. \u00a0Just like a loving father, God wants to show us the easier way through life. \u00a0A life without fear. \u00a0A life without sadness from the things we did or said.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0A life of blessing and for us to bless others. \u00a0He wants to show us the freedom of living His way.<\/p>\n

As verse 9 states, Jesus wants to give us salvation. All we have to do is ask. \u00a0Then believe we are forgiven of all of our sins. \u00a0Change our lives and begin living for God. \u00a0This changes everything. \u00a0Believing and developing a trust in God will empower you in every area of your life. You will believe you can speak before a crowd to share your testimony with others. \u00a0You will be able to tell your story with such conviction and self confidence. \u00a0You will be proud.<\/p>\n

*\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0 \u2665 \u00a0 ~\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u271e\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0 ~ \u00a0 *\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Father, we want the salvation Jesus spoke of in Your Word. \u00a0We want to be lights in this world. \u00a0We want others to look at our lives and see You and Your ways. \u00a0In Jesus’ name. Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
