Listen to these three examples from the Scriptures where God\u2019s people (you and me, too!) are given the command to love God with all their heart&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>When Moses gave the Law to the Israelites, he said:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These are the commands, decrees and laws the Lord your God directed me to teach you to observe&#8230;so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em><strong>all<\/strong> your heart<\/em><\/span> and with <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>all<\/strong> your soul<\/span><\/em> and with <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>all<\/strong> your strength<\/span><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Deuteronomy 6:1-4 (excerpts)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The prophet Jeremiah was given this compelling message to send to the exiled Israelites who had been carried into captivity by Nebuchadnezzer and his army. \u00a0Think about how comforted they must have been hearing God\u2019s words!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\">For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord,<br \/>\nthoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil,<br \/>\nto give you hope in your final outcome.<br \/>\nThen you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you.<br \/>\nThen you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity]<br \/>\nand find Me when you search for Me with <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>all<\/strong> your heart<\/span><\/em>.<br \/>\nI will be found by you, says the Lord&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Jeremiah 29:11-14<\/p>\n<p>Our Lord spoke this convicting message to His followers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">And one of the scribes&#8230;asked him, \u201cWhich commandment is the most important of all?\u201d<br \/>\nJesus answered, \u201cThe most important is,<br \/>\n\u2018Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.<br \/>\nAnd you shall love the Lord your God<br \/>\nwith <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>all<\/strong> your heart<\/span> <\/em>and with <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>all<\/strong> your soul<\/span><\/em><br \/>\nand with <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em><strong>all<\/strong> your mind<\/em> <\/span>and with <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em><strong>all<\/strong> your strength<\/em><\/span>.\u2019<br \/>\nThe second is this: \u2018You shall love your neighbor as yourself.\u2019<br \/>\nThere is no other commandment greater than these.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: center;\">Mark 12:28-32<\/p>\n<p>We know from the Scriptures that God desires us to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>trust Him with <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>all<\/strong> of our heart<\/span> (Proverbs 3:5 and 6)<\/li>\n<li>work heartily as if for Him with <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>all<\/strong> of our heart<\/span> (Colossians 3:23)<\/li>\n<li>seek Him with <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>all<\/strong> our hear<\/span>t (Deuteronomy 4:29 and 30)<\/li>\n<li>serve Him with our<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong> whole<\/strong> heart<\/span> (1 Chronicles 28:9)<\/li>\n<li>love Him with <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>all<\/strong> our heart<\/span> (Matthew 22:37)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here are a few questions that I have asked myself&#8230; perhaps\u00a0you have asked yourself the same things, too:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">What would it take for you, {coleen}, \u00a0to&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Give your <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>all<\/em><\/span>?<br \/>\nBe <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>sold out<\/em> <\/span>for God?<br \/>\nBe His <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">completely<\/span><\/em>?<br \/>\nServe Him <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">only<\/span><\/em>?<br \/>\nLove Him with <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>all<\/em> <\/span>your heart?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Have you answered those questions yet?
