Love is patient,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>love is kind.
\n<\/span>It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
\n<\/span>It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
\n<\/span>it is not easily angered,\u00a0it keeps no record of wrongs.<\/span>
\n<\/sup>Love does not delight in evil\u00a0<\/span><\/span>but rejoices with the truth.
\n<\/span>It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
\n<\/span>Love never fails.<\/span><\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 13:4-8<\/span><\/p>\n

Selfless love is love that is not self-centered. \u00a0What do I mean by self-centered? \u00a0That is, thinking of oneself instead of others.\u00a0<\/em><\/span> Examples of self-centered minds are like the ones below.
\n\u2022 If it is s blessings…then let me be the first to receive; forgetting we are \u201c…more blessed to give than to receive.\u201d
\n\u2022 If it is a prize someone received, you ask question \u2018why them and not me?\u2019 and then pick an offence with others in the process.
\n\u2022 In a family you want your decisions only to be applicable and do not care about others, i.e., spouse or children.
\n\u2022 No conscience when you wrong a person instead of saying \u2018sorry\u2019
\n\u2022 Can\u2019t compliment another after they have done something that is good.<\/p>\n

Rather, selfless love<\/strong><\/span> must always…<\/p>\n

Think of others first and you will be more blessed.<\/span>

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich,

\nso that you through His poverty might become rich.
\n2 Corinthians 8:9<\/p>\n

As believers let us encourage one another to have selfless<\/span> <\/strong>love and do as the Word says in the passage (1 Corinthians 13:4-8) we are focusing on this week. \u00a0We were made in His own likeness and so we have to show the likeliness of God. \u00a0In whatever we do, how we speak, the way we carry ourselves…let those who see us thank God and turn to God. We should not grieve the Spirit with our deeds and cause the name of the Lord to not be worshipped.<\/p>\n
