\u201cTomorrow is another day!\u201d \u00a0For those of us who have watched Gone with the Wind (…watched it several<\/em> times), how often do we remember hearing Scarlett O\u2019Hara utter those words? \u00a0Whenever she is faced with a problem she can\u2019t solve right then and there, she says she will think about it tomorrow. \u00a0She pushes it off until the next day. \u00a0She refuses to face it right then and there. \u00a0She knows that she has other problems to face during the rest of the day, and that tomorrow is another day. \u00a0It must be nice to put things off until tomorrow. \u00a0Scarlett was always putting her faith in what the next day would bring.<\/p>\n

We should be thinking about what is in front of us today<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0We should not be putting it off until the next day. \u00a0We are not promised tomorrow. \u00a0Our last moments could come at any time. \u00a0Our unfinished problems become someone else\u2019s to handle when we don\u2019t take care of them ourselves. \u00a0We have enough to worry about in one day. \u00a0We should not pile today\u2019s worries onto tomorrow. \u00a0That will only make tomorrow, which should be a better day than the one before, worse.<\/p>\n

Scarlett, however, is a fictional character. \u00a0A character in a book and a movie. \u00a0She can place her worries on the next day and the next and the next. \u00a0Through the words on the page and pictures on a screen, she will never die. \u00a0Yet, we are mortal.\u00a0\u00a0We will die one day. \u00a0Worrying about tomorrow does not help us enjoy life. \u00a0Trying to shove our worries for today onto tomorrow will only makes the problem worse and dampens the next day.<\/p>\n

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
\nHebrews 11:1<\/p>\n

For those of us with strong faith in God, we do not have to worry about today or tomorrow. \u00a0God has everything in control. \u00a0We cannot see what tomorrow will bring. \u00a0We do know what will happen tomorrow if we have an appointment or something else scheduled. \u00a0However, we do not know what will happen around those planned parts of our day. We cannot control what will happen during the day. \u00a0Only God can.<\/strong><\/em> \u00a0Through faith<\/span> <\/em>we know that tomorrow will be there. Through faith, we hope and pray that we will see tomorrow. Faith<\/span> <\/em>gives us the certainty that what we can\u2019t see or touch really does exist. \u00a0Unlike Scarlett, we do have to live in the here and now.<\/p>\n
