\u00a0Listen&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She had heard the reports concerning Jesus, and she came up behind Him in the throng and touched His garment, \u00a0for she kept saying, \u00a0\u2018If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health.\u2019 \u00a0And immediately her flow of blood was dried up at the source, \u00a0and [suddenly] she felt in her body that she was healed of her [distressing] ailment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">verses 27-29<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>There is a pivotal point here: she believed\u2014<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>she had <strong>faith<\/strong><\/em><\/span>\u2014that if she could just get close enough to simply touch Jesus\u2019 clothing, she would be healed. \u00a0Remember she \u201c<em>kept<\/em> saying, \u2018If I <em>only touch<\/em> His garments, I <em>shall be<\/em> restored to health.\u2019\u201d \u00a0And so she took the action necessary. \u00a0<strong>Having faith requires action.<\/strong> \u00a0As I think about this scenario, it seems to me there were a number of strong deterrents standing in her way.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>The crowd<\/strong> <\/span><br \/>\nVerse 24 tells us, \u201c&#8230;a large crowd was following Him and pressing in on Him\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Her own physical frailty<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nVerses 25 and 26 say she \u201c&#8230;had been subject to bleeding for twelve years&#8230;had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and &#8230;instead of getting better she grew worse\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">The social stigma of a woman touching a strange man in public<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nVerse 33 relates, \u201cBut the woman&#8230;though alarmed and frightened and trembling, fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In spite of these things she believed \u201c&#8230;the reports she had heard about Jesus&#8230;\u201d. \u00a0Put yourself, sisters, in her sandals&#8230;would you (would I?) have had the courage, the fortitude, the faith to do what she did? \u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>I do believe we could&#8230;we would. \u00a0<\/em> <strong><em>I do believe we do.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Throughout our lives, we find ourselves experiencing similar circumstances and hard times. Right now, today, I know some of you are living through difficult, demanding, hard situations. Whether they are health-related (like this woman), or difficulties in relationships, or financial problems, or a myriad of other troubles&#8230;we need to <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em><strong>have faith<\/strong><\/em><\/span> that God will take care of whatever might be our need. \u00a0Our faith is based on our knowledge of His promises in His Word.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8230;So <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em><strong>faith<\/strong> <\/em><\/span>comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.<br \/>\nRomans 10:17<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">So that your <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>faith<\/strong> <\/span>might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.<br \/>\n1 Corinthians 2:5<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Now <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>faith <\/em><\/span>is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.<br \/>\nHebrews 11:1<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">And without <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>faith<\/em> <\/span>it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.<br \/>\nVerse 6<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">We live by <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>faith<\/em><\/span>, not by sight.<br \/>\n2 Corinthians 5:7<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. \u00a0According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature&#8230;&#8221;<br \/>\n2 Peter 2:1-4<\/p>\n<p>May we keep all these things in mind as we have faith in the Almighty God Who provides\u2014Jehovah-Jireh.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>When we feel weak, may we ask for \u2018strength to be faithful.\u2019<\/li>\n<li>When we are weary, may we ask for \u2018grace to go on.\u2019<\/li>\n<li>When we are anxious, may we ask for \u2018peace when we\u2019re torn.\u2019<\/li>\n<li>When we can\u2019t see the way out or through or around or beyond, may we ask for \u2018hearts to find hope.\u2019<\/li>\n<li>When we feel we have nothing left, may we ask for \u2018faith to be strong.\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We must always remember that there is no need we will ever have that He is not already aware of. \u00a0He is the Eternal God our Provider\u2014Jehovah-Jireh!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"> \u00a0* sing out, we also ask You, Father, please give us faith to be strong&#8230;give us strength to be faithful&#8230;give us grace to go on&#8230;give us peace when we\u2019re torn&#8230;give us hearts to
