…And all the people followed, crowding around Him. A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. \u00a0She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. \u00a0In fact, she had gotten worse. \u00a0She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind Him through the crowd and touched His robe. For she thought to herself, \u201cIf I can just touch His robe, I will be healed.\u201d Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition. \u00a0Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from Him, so He turned around in the crowd and asked, \u201cWho touched My robe?\u201d \u00a0His disciples said to Him, \u201cLook at this crowd pressing around You. How can You ask, \u2018Who touched Me?\u2019\u201d But He kept on looking around to see who had done it. Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of Him and told Him what she had done. \u00a0And He said to her, \u201cDaughter, your faith has made you well<\/span><\/em>. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.\u201d<\/p>\n

A single choice can change your life for better or for worse. \u00a0Big decisions and small decisions can have catastrophic results. \u00a0The choices we make today form our habits for our tomorrows. \u00a0The choices we make today influence who will be in our tomorrows. \u00a0The choice this woman made (in this passage from Mark chapter 5) changed her life! \u00a0For twelve years\u2014everyday\u2014she bled. \u00a0She’d tried getting help from doctors, but to no avail. \u00a0And she had spent everything she had.<\/p>\n

As I read this I wondered if she went to Jesus only because she had ran out of other options. \u00a0Was it desperation that pulled her to Him? \u00a0Is this not so often the case, though? Regardless of why… she still made the choice and that’s the part that matters.<\/p>\n

I, personally, do not like making choices…especially big choices. I procrastinate even though I know this is not a good thing; I still do it. \u00a0What would have happened if this woman had waited even longer? \u00a0She would have needlessly suffered. \u00a0The most important choice we make is to believe in our Heavenly Father’s gift to us and to accept it; but all our other choices matter, too. \u00a0Don’t just make one good decision and stop. \u00a0Continue to make great decisions using the Word of God to guide you.<\/p>\n

Choose<\/em>. And make sure they are wise choices.<\/span><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
