\u00a0She sings out and proclaims that&#8212;even when shaken\u2026worried\u2026fearful\u2026doubting&#8212;in her heart of hearts she <span style=\"color: #800080;\">TRUSTS<\/span> in her Lord! <em>\u00a0Have you been singing along with her<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cI will trust You, Lord, when I don\u2019t know why.<br \/>\nI will trust You, Lord, \u2018til the day I die.<br \/>\nI will trust You, Lord, when I\u2019m blind with pain!<br \/>\nYou were God before, and You\u2019ll never change.<br \/>\nI will trust You\u2026.I will trust You\u2026I will trust You, Lord!<br \/>\nI will trust You.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Trust<\/span> in the Lord&#8230;Who better to<span style=\"color: #800080;\"> trus<\/span>t in?\u00a0\u00a0 But do I?\u00a0 Do you?\u00a0 Actually, yes, I think that we do!\u00a0 We have experienced and been blessed by God\u2019s goodness and grace and mercy <strong>over and over and over again.<\/strong>\u00a0 We have seen His loving care cover the lives of our loved ones.\u00a0 We know\u2014because He has graciously proven Himself\u2014that He is a faithful God Who always provides what is best for His children.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:<br \/>\nThe steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;<br \/>\nThey are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.<br \/>\n&#8220;The Lord is my portion,&#8221; says my soul, &#8220;therefore I will hope in him.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.<br \/>\nIt is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.<br \/>\nLamentations 3:21-26<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em><span class=\"GINGER_SOFATWARE_correct\">trust<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>TRUST, n.<\/p>\n<p>1. <em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Confidence<\/span><\/em>; a reliance or resting of the mind on the integrity, veracity, justice, friendship or other sound principle of another person.<br \/>\n<i>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He that putteth his <span style=\"color: #800080;\">trust <\/span>in the Lord shall be safe<\/i>.\u00a0 Proverbs 29:25<br \/>\n2. He (or that) which is the ground of <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>confidence<\/em><\/span>.<br \/>\n<i>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 For Thou art my hope; O Lord God, thou art my<span style=\"color: #800080;\"> trust <\/span>from my youth<\/i>. Psalm 71:5<br \/>\n(From Webster\u2019s 1828 Unabridged Dictionary)<\/p>\n<p>From these definitions we have an understanding that it is because of <em>confidence<\/em> that we<span style=\"color: #800080;\"> trust<\/span>. And we have <em>confidence<\/em> in someone or something because they have proved themselves worthy of relying on them.\u00a0 When we think of these words in relation to our Father God&#8230;oh,\u00a0my!\u00a0 There is no doubt of His having proven Himself!\u00a0 He is a Faithful God Who always brings His promises into fruition!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8230;<em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Trust<\/span> in, and be confident in the Lord<\/em> with all your heart and mind<br \/>\nand do not rely on your own insight or understanding.<br \/>\nIn all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him,<br \/>\nand He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.<br \/>\nBe not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord<br \/>\nand turn [entirely] away from evil.<br \/>\nProverbs 3:5-7<\/p>\n<p>This verse comes to mind and brings such peace to my heart! I do not have to always understand. I do not have to know what is going to happen.\u00a0 But, I do need to follow Him. I need to <span style=\"color: #800080;\">trust Him<\/span> with all my heart. That part is my job.\u00a0 He will help me and He will get me through. It might not be easy (and truth be told, it isn&#8217;t\u00a0always easy), but it will be okay.<\/p>\n<p>The question is, &#8216;Do we lean on our own understanding or do we depend on God?&#8217;\u00a0 The wise choice is obvious when we remember that God knows the end from the beginning.
