{"id":23542,"date":"2014-12-22T00:20:31","date_gmt":"2014-12-22T05:20:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/?p=23542"},"modified":"2014-12-21T18:40:33","modified_gmt":"2014-12-21T23:40:33","slug":"gods-banner-us-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/2014\/12\/22\/gods-banner-us-love\/","title":{"rendered":"God&#8217;s Banner Over Us is Love"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/SHadventlovegraphic.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23511\" src=\"http:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/SHadventlovegraphic.jpg\" alt=\"SHadventlovegraphic\" width=\"560\" height=\"303\" srcset=\"https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/SHadventlovegraphic.jpg 560w, https:\/\/girlfriendscoffeehour.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/SHadventlovegraphic-300x162.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">He has brought me to His banquet hall,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">And His banner over me is love.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">Song of Solomon 2:4<\/span><\/p>\n<p>There is this song that we used to sing in Sunday school&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u00a0 \u266b \u266a \u266b Behold what a manner of love that the Father has given unto us<\/em><br \/>\n<em>That we should be called the sons of God \u00a0 \u266b \u266a \u266b <\/em><\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8y_UXnNGBZw?rel=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>Back then I could not understand what I was singing; but now that I am saved I <em>do understand<\/em> that God&#8217;s <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">love<\/span> for us is SO\u00a0great. \u00a0He gave us His begotten Son so that we should not perish (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=john+3%3A16&amp;version=NIV;ESV;NASB;AMP\" target=\"_blank\">John 3:16<\/a>). \u00a0His will for us is to have eternal life.<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">love<\/span> is wide enough to embrace all persons (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+Timothy+2%3A3-4&amp;version=NIV;ESV;NASB;AMP\" target=\"_blank\">1 Timothy 2:4<\/a>). \u00a0God gave His Son as an offering for sin on the c\\Cross. \u00a0The atonement proceeds from the <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">loving<\/span> heart of God. \u00a0It was not something forced on Him <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=romans+8%3A32&amp;version=NIV;ESV;NASB;AMP\" target=\"_blank\">(Romans 8:32<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">Love<\/span> is patient, <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">love<\/span> is kind.<br \/>\nIt does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.<br \/>\nIt does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,<br \/>\nit is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">Love<\/span> does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.<br \/>\nIt always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.<br \/>\n1st Corinthians 13:4-8<\/p>\n<p>We see this is the demonstration of God\u2019s <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">love<\/span> to man, and since we are also created in the image of God let us also exercise it. \u00a0Jesus gave us the commandment to<em> <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">love<\/span> one another as He had <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">loved<\/span> us<\/em>. \u00a0And for us to show that we are His disciples we must <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">l<em>ove<\/em><\/span><em> one another<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Christmas is also a season of <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">love<\/span>\u2014a season to give and a season to care. \u00a0Therefore choose someone you can bless with food items, clothes, etc., as an act of <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">love<\/span>. \u00a0God freely gave us His Son. \u00a0We should also freely give what we are blessed with!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">\u00a0* \u00a0 \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0~ \u00a0\u271d \u00a0~ \u00a0\u2605 \u00a0 \u00a0*<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Father, I thank You for the <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">love<\/span> that You have for us. \u00a0Teach us, Lord, to <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">love<\/span> one another as Christ has loved us. \u00a0Help us also to practice <span style=\"color: #a11e24;\">love<\/span> not only in this season but all the days of our lives, Lord. \u00a0 This we ask in Jesus name. \u00a0 Amen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>He has brought me to His banquet hall, And His banner over me is love.
