Yes, they were engaged to be married and oh, he loved her with all his heart. \u00a0But a baby? \u00a0He knew it couldn&#8217;t \u00a0be his. \u00a0Then, in a dream, an angel came to him and explained everything. Yes&#8230;he was convinced, but sure that no one else would be. Why me, he said&#8230;I&#8217;m no one special.<\/p>\n<p>The Savior, God&#8217;s Son, could have come to earth any way He wanted. \u00a0He could have come with trumpets or on a chariot or already a grown man or never having to go through anything, really. <em>\u00a0<strong>But He didn&#8217;t.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/em>He chose to come as small as He could&#8212;a baby born to common people, in a stable, in a manger. \u00a0He was wrapped in strips of cloth, instead of the latest trend in the expensive boutiques. \u00a0He came for one purpose alone&#8230;and that was (and is) to save us.<\/p>\n<p>She was just a teenage girl engaged to a carpenter. \u00a0She was planning a wedding, getting ready to move in with her fianc\u00e9&#8217;s family, as tradition would tell her to do. \u00a0And then, on an ordinary night, an Angel of the Lord appeared to her and told her,<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8220;Don&#8217;t be afraid, Mary&#8230;for you have found favor with God.<br \/>\nYou will conceive and give birth to Son, and you will name Him Jesus.<br \/>\nHe will be very great and will be called the Son of The Most High.<br \/>\nThe Lord God will give Him the throne of His ancestor David,<br \/>\nAnd He will reign over Israel forever, His Kingdom will never end.&#8221;<br \/>\nMary asked the angel,&#8221;But how can this happen?
