In this verse alone it tells us that the fruit of our lips is<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>praise<\/li>\n<li>a thankful acknowledgment<\/li>\n<li>a sacrifice to God<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Although animal sacrifices are no longer required, we are\u00a0repeatedly\u00a0urged to offer another kind of sacrifice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Offer to God the <span style=\"color: #c4540a;\">sacrifice of thanksgiving.<\/span>&#8230;<br \/>\nPsalm 50:14 AMP<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Let them offer <span style=\"color: #c4540a;\">sacrifices of thanksgiving<\/span> and announce His works with shouts of joy.<br \/>\nPsalm 107:22 HCSB<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">To You I shall offer a <span style=\"color: #c4540a;\">sacrifice of thanksgiving,<\/span> and call upon the name of the Lord.<br \/>\nPsalm 116:17 NASB<\/p>\n<p>Ok, so the fruit of our lips is 1) praise, 2) a sacrifice, 3) a way of giving thanks to the Lord. \u00a0But why are we compelled (Hebrews 13:15) to do it \u2018<em>constantly and at all times\u2019<\/em>? \u00a0Here are just a few of the reasons I found.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c4540a;\"><em>It glorifies God and pleases Him<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me;<br \/>\nPsalm 50:23 AMP<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I will praise God\u2019s name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving.<br \/>\nThis will please the Lord more than an ox, more than a bull with its horns and hooves.<br \/>\nPsalms 69:30-31 HCSB<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #c4540a;\">(Because of) His enduring love and goodness<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Let them praise the Lord for His great love and for the wonderful things He has done for them.<br \/>\nPsalm 107:21 NLT<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever.<br \/>\nPsalm 136:1<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c4540a;\"><em>Because Jesus did<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">At that time Jesus said, \u201cI praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth&#8230;&#8221;.<br \/>\nMatthew 11:25, Luke 10:21-22 HCSB<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c4540a;\"><em>Our shared inheritance <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share<br \/>\nthe portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God\u2019s holy people) in the Light.<br \/>\nColossians 1:12 AMP<\/p>\n<p>But, I think my <strong>favorite<\/strong> reason for giving thanks is to<em> <span style=\"color: #c4540a;\">tell others and remind myself of all He has done in my life.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">O give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known His doings among the peoples!<br \/>\n1 Chronicles 16:8 AMP<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">O give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name,<br \/>\nmake known His doings among the peoples!<br \/>\nSing to Him, sing praises to Him; meditate on<br \/>\nand talk of all His marvelous deeds and devoutly praise them.<br \/>\nPsalms 105:1-2 AMP<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to the abundance of His greatness!<br \/>\nPsalm 150:2<\/p>\n<p>Praise causes me to focus on the times I have seen God\u2019s hand at work. \u00a0It keeps the memories fresh in my mind so I can reflect on His blessings in times of struggle. \u00a0It reminds me how thankful I am to be a child of The King of Kings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #c4540a;\"> * \u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0~ \u00a0\u271e \u00a0~ \u00a0\u2665 \u00a0~ \u00a0* <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Oh Lord, Oh Lord! \u00a0How majestic is Your name in all the earth. \u00a0I am blessed beyond measure by Your faithful love and graciousness. \u00a0May I constantly and at all times offer a sacrifice of praise to You, for You are more than worthy. \u00a0In Your Holy name I pray, Amen \u2013 it is so!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.
